i would like to show my friend that the watchtower change their mind all the time about higher education over the years.

they usually discourage higher education as we all know that.

i would like to show him the wt quotes.

" What is the atmosphere in many of this world's institutions of higher education?

Are they not hotbeds of political and social unrest? (eph. 2:2) By contrast Jehovah's organization

provides the highest form of education in the peaceful setting of the Christian congregation. Each of us has

the opportunity to benefit from the Theocratic Ministry School. Then there are specialised courses for single pioneer brothers etc etc.....

Well folks, thats kind of what I was suspecting because I don't quite

see the point in hair splitting as the article seems to do in this instance.

Well said konceptual99 and we all started somewhere. Found your

Egyptian timeline interesting as I'm currently trying to nut that

one out as well, esp. projected population growth etc.

"fundamentalists of Christendom teach that the universe, including our earth

and all life on it, is only a few thousand years old. Those who teach this doctrine

- known as creationism-....... etc etc" (it would take me hours to type the whole lot).

My question is... Would not WTBTS be classified as Creationists albeit Old Earth Creationists ?

Some of you will no doubt find the sentence in the same paragraph referring to these fundamentalists

who teach this doctrine as interesting... " They reject credible scientific evidence that contradicts their view"

The Gall Of WT To Give This Advice To Pioneers:

this past week's wt study lesson was entitled: 'pioneering strengthens our relationship with god'.. under the subheading 'remaining in the full-time service' in par 14 the wt has the nerve to give this admonition to pioneers: .

'desiring to learn from jesus' example, a pioneer does well to keep in mind that the more material things he has, the more he will have to maintain , repair, or replace.'.

i don't think the gb or anyone in the writing department has the freedom to speak on giving adivce on the matter of 'material things' given the fact that wt has close to a billion dollars in real estate and loads of money in various bank accounts; given the fact that gb is currently building themselves new living quarters with who knows what sort of comforts and other amenities.

Wallsofjericho, find and use better scripts and only cite these two as you feel somewhere in the talk.

I've done this before with "boring" reference material. Haven't had a lecture yet.

Weren't any stumbled where I was, we just wondered what dictionary definition

he was using, and what else he may have been. Da fing is, there is a considerable amount of disquiet evident within the org today.

As we all "study our heritage" we become abundantly aware of the increase in human inconsistency

within the org that has origins going back many decades. And don't come back with the imperfect men like David bit.

BTW, during the consideration of this article the deafening silence of pioneers' answer's in the hall was eerie.
