10 The bread that the apostles could see and would soon partake of meant Jesus’ body. Which body? At one time, God’s servants felt that because Jesus broke the bread but none of his own bones were broken, the bread meant “the body of the Christ,” the congrega- tion of anointed ones. (Eph. 4:12; Rom. 12:4, 5; 1 Cor. 10:16, 17; 12:27) In time, however, it was appreciated that both reason and Scripture indicate that the bread represents Jesus’ human body, which had been prepared for him. Jesus “suffered in the flesh,” even being im- paled. Thus, at the Lord’s Evening Meal, the bread represents that physical body in which Jesus “bore our sins.”—1 Pet. 2: 21-24; 4:1; John 19:33-36; Heb. 10:5-7.

what sorrow awaits you!
for you say that it means nothing to swear by gods temple, but that it is binding to swear by the gold in the temple.
20when you swear by the altar, you are swearing by it and by everything on it.
Yep use and re-use of photoshopped pics and illustrations happens.
The study article illustration on page 17 of dec 15 2013 mag is a re-do
of an illustration in the "learn from the great teacher book" page 194.
Can't quite get on top of pasting stuff just yet.
I guess with photos it evokes thoughts of misrepresentation.
if you and a fellow jehovah's witness went to a house where the homeowner brought up a watchtower doctrine which you secretly disagree with, would you defend it or tell them what it is you really believe?.
either way you are at a loss.. defending something you disagree with is living a lie and telling a lie.
not defending it and telling the home owner what you really believe makes you an apostate by watchtower society standards.
Laughing @ Outlaw....
" Good morning, we're making brief visits today,,,,,,HEY is that AC DC you're playing?????"
(Wait for response from householder).......
"I used to see them live in their early days! I fondly remember the Bondi Lifesaver nye bash" ....

Well Honesty. As an active witness it's not that hard really if you apply the honesty principle.
"Yes you are right, our management team has backtracked on quite a few doctrines".
Sometimes it's difficult to keep up with the latest revisions, but I'm here to encourage you
to look into your own bible to sift through the various doctrines out there and find one that
you are comfortable with or even if you're comfortable with the bible.
For example do you believe that humans may be ressurrected to
live on earth again?????? Do you think we will ever see global peace????
And away you go, chat for hours and share views and listen to each other ,,,,,,just converse
with fellow humans,,,,,,, if that makes me an apostate then let the spirit in the sky decide.

p.s. I put an elder fs partner on notice that if anyone should ask to explain the 'generation overlap'
concept I would immediately hand over to him as I would be unable to do so.
Resulted in an attempted 'shepherding call' that I explained would be inconvenient.
we all gotta do what we gotta do!!!!!!
that is the real way to go.
as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.
Congratulations 'Defender Of Truth' for being bold enough to
emulate the Beroeans to 'see if it's so'. That's why many of us are here also.
Continue to "test your faith" and you will be rewarded in a way that may
not seem strategic or logical from a human viewpoint. Enjoy the journey!

I checked my notes DD you are on the money.
No.
1) Because at the convention you mention the audience was encouraged during the
keynote address on friday 1140 hrs to "co-operate with adjustments". ( so are changes included?)
Doesn't that take away the basis for truth before I commence?
2) In the final address on sunday 1450 hrs the audience were warned to "resist doubt"
"don't allow yourself to think as Eve did, ' is it really so?'"
In my view It does come down to faith without certainty, bit like having a bet on the horses really.
An non jw associate of mine put it this way: "you can argue over the form guide all day,
but eventually you put your money on the horse you think will win, even favourites lose".
He then asked how good our form guide was,,,, "1914, 1925, 1975, how many times do
you keep backing a long shot? So what's your next bet on?" I replied " I'm backing 'overlapping
generations' in the last mate, even long shots win" We both split our sides and had another beer
and discussed cars instead!!!

in the dec 15 2013 study article page 19 paragraph 10 a professor jonathan klawans is quoted.. i found the original quote here:.
exodus 12 commands the israelites to repeat this practice every year, performing the sacrifice during the day and then consuming it after the sun has set.
(according to jewish tradition, the new day begins with the setting of the sun, so the sacrifice is made on the 14th but the beginning of passover and the meal are actually on the 15th, although this sequence of dates is not specified in exodus.
Yes you're correct Earnest, I'm mixing up the arguments. A George Howard quote was used to support the use
of gods name in the NT. There was a post some time ago regarding that.
