How interesting! I was just sitting here thinking about my wake-up to the TTATT and how it evolved. One of the factors is 3 years ago I began working for a large corporation in a setting where sales is all that matters. I began to see the smiliarities between how the employees are treated and tracked and how the society treats the rank and file. The similiarities exist because both are large corporations seeking profit.

Wow... you WERE right! The KH was to teach you how to SELL!!
by ILoveTTATT in.
as you can see from the picture, in the kingdom hall there was a board with "publishers, books, booklets," etc... aparently for the entire congregation.
not sure what the other line is, maybe it is a goal?.

Were People Surprised When You Left The Witnesses?

"I don't care what you think about me. I don't think about you at all." ---- Coco Chanel
That quote came to mind when I was contemplating this question. I don't think anyone is giving my fade/leaving the religion much thought other than parents and in laws. I was never close to anyone anyways. This also made me think about the times in my old hall when it took me six months to a year to realize certian people were missing. Obviously, we are all too wrapped up in our own lives to really care, myself included. And in this paticular area I am absolutely ok with it.

Need Advice about Grandparents/Blood Doctrine
by SnailsPace2 inmy in-laws are taking my little boy to a different state for small trip and the want me to create a document stating they are allowed to take him over state lines.
which is fine.
my husband would like for me to construct the document and include information concerning medical decisions and that they are only to be made after contacting the parents.

My in-laws are taking my little boy to a different state for small trip and the want me to create a document stating they are allowed to take him over state lines. Which is fine. My husband would like for me to construct the document and include information concerning medical decisions and that they are only to be made after contacting the parents. I have no doubt the grandparents will attempt to refuse blood for my son if the issue comes. My husband and I both feel that if blood is absolutely necessary as a last resort to save our son's life we will accept.
I don't even know where to start with this. What if by chance an emergency arises and they are not able to reach me or my husband? I don't want to ban them from making ANY decisions. I have full confidence in their ability to make decisions in everything except concerning blood. So obviously I don't want any delay in the care of my son if I write the letter. So should I be specific?
Another thing to consider too is the physician will do whatever he wants and deems and necessary and has the legal right to do so because of my son's age. So should I just leave it out of the letter completely?
Any suggestions on how to word this letter?

If they are easy to take down, take them down. Sure they might be exposed to worse at school, but the girls' parents are probably trying hard to counteract what they are exposed to there and seeing that language in an adults house as humor doesn't help their efforts any. Mostly though I think it depends on the type of host you are. Are a host sensitive to your guest's feelings and don't mind making small changes to make them feel more comfortable? It's good manners for me, but I understand everyone's culture is different.

How to get through an Assembly?
by kaxozula inme just learning the truth about the truth has just made it hard to even get through a two hour meeting at the the kingdom hall.
i get so sleepy during them and i almost cannot contain it!
the last time i went to a convention, i was still an avid believer but as you can see, that has changed.

I took notes on everything I felt was an attempt at brainwashing and controlling the witnesses. Thats a lot of notes. But that recent assembly was my first one since learning the ttatt, so you can say I was "zealous" I planned on putting my notes on here.

Interesting view on JW's by UN legal
by snare&racket ina recently deceased human right worker howard clark who worked for watchtower co rights, remembered..... "i knew howard basically on the c.o.
issues which had become an agenda item at the u.n. commission on human rights, which met in geneva.
however, as countries dropped conscription in favor of a professional military or developed alternatives to military service, the only c.o.s left were members of the watchtower society (jehovahs witnesses), whose theology seemed strange to howard, all the more so that in some watchtower publications, the returning jesus seems less nonviolent than the first time around!

Hahha. That "two seater" comment reminded me a public talk recently. The brother was from a different hall and apparently didn't realize (or maybe he did) that most in our hall were pretty well off or like to give the impression of it. His big illustration about the snares of materialism consisted of a person's decision to purchase a new car or not. I kept waiting for him to say something about "is the car a two-seater and not suitable for service? Or is a luxury model that guzzles gas" but he never did. He just left it at "new car" so apparently we should only be buying used cars now. . . . I bought a new car a few months ago

DEC 2013 WT Article - Slave for Jehovah - warning: ranting ahead
by ohnightdivine inthis morning's wt study almost made me vomit, stand up, pick up my bag and rush to the door.. of course it never happened.
instead, i was able to make some nice drawings on my tablet and notepad.. if you replace the name jehovah with watchtower, or the governing 8 men, it would really make sense.. what's up with all that nonstop guilt-mongering about education and having a decent job?!.
most people look down on the uneducated, and i remember, when i didn't have a job, nobody cared!.

Just FYI, in my area most young ones are ignoring this advice and going ahead to pursue higher education and doing so with the support of their parents.

Soooooo . . . . a child abuser, even one in a case with two witnesses, even one with is labeled a "predator" is allowed to be involved in the preaching work? Is this correct? As in the society thinks it's ok for him to knock on doors of unsuspecting families who have no idea of his past? Tell me I'm missing something.
