This convention program is why I believe the GB is trolling us. It's too ridiculous, almost a spoof. I think they know the game is up and are having a little fun.

They're really turning this convention into a 100 year anniversary celebration. I think this will wake thinking people up. It's so ridiculous.

Has anyone accidentally stumbled across someone they knew on here?

so far no one i recognize.
i have a few df'd friends that i lost touch with long before they were out (two who were elders actually when they got the boot) and would love to find out they were on here, but don't know if they plan on coming back.

Do you know the difference between the words of GOD vs the GB?
by bruh2012 incircuit overseer said to the congregation last night:.
some are having problems going to detroit for the convention- some say it's too far, some say it's dangerous, some say i never been there before- why are you disobeying jehovah since "he said" you should go to detroit to worship me!!

It's becoming clear that nobody is buying that garbage anymore. So now Jehovah tells the GB where to hold thier conventions and which hotels to use? So last year Jehovah told them to have their convention in Toledo, but this year he told them to have it in Detroit? I'm guessing Jehovah also signed the contracts with the venues. such scare tactics may have worked years ago. They still work in immigrant communities and third world countries where more people believe the GB is inspired. This is the information age and people are learning how things really work. More people are starting to use their brains. Scare tacticts are losing their effect. I think many people will be turned off by the upcoming GB worship planned this summer.

1) jesus would not speak of such a heartless arrangement whereby a person who does not listen to the church is finally disfellowshipped, because it is in sharp contrast to what he was saying in mathew 18:14 and mathew 18:21-35; 1 peter 2:22; contrast also mathew 5:3, 40, 41; 16:24.. 2) jesus would not have told his disciples (mathew 18:1) to take things to the church (presently more than 40,000 in numbers) which obviously did not exist then.

Do we completely shun people of the world? or tax collectors? No. The point jesus was making is that we wouldn't be intimately assocaited with an unrepentant person. Do you like being friends with theives and liars? No. So obviously you wouldn't continue being buddies with such a person.

Jesus never taught an earthly resurrection. When he said that he was talking about people going to heaven. It was a new hope.

DD JWs have the Bible all wrong. Live a fulfilling life, do good to others. Isn't it funny how jesus said even he doesn't know when the end is coming? Thats because its not important. Stop worrying about the end and serving your GB masters. You serve them out of fear. Do good things for people in life out of love. Stop living in fear.

Data dog there is a question box about helping children reach spiritual maturity. It mentions studying the bible teach book with them and the gods love book. First the org needs to work on the adults developing spiritual maturity. The dumbed down magazines treat adults like children and don't allow them to make any of their own decisions. Many JWS are like children and can't make any decision without first consulting the WT about what to do.
