  I made a post a few days ago about stagnant JW growth at international conventions. I also enjoyed reading analysis of the statistics from jwfacts. what the watchtower claims and what the reality is, are two different things. It's so easy to disprove what they say. The same can be said for the 1914 teaching. It's a complete joke. in this modern society why did it take some of us so long to see what everyone else outside the organization sees? Fear? Wanting to believe? What caused me to never check references used in the watchtower? Why didn't I read other bible commentaries? Im an indoctrinated born in, so in some ways I was probably afraid my worldview would collapse and I'd be hopeless. I'd no longer have ALL the "answers." Surprisingly, I'm happier now that I don't have ALL the answers.

  oh wow!....

  i have seen some really pathetic instagram posts today..... so many have posted pictures of "all of us out in service in the greatest month of witnessing ever camapign"..... there are slide shows, with snapshots of old and very young in service handing out leaflets etc... it is really quite sad to see the hype building up!.

  anyone else seen such things?.

  Magnum. That's excellent.

  I guess I live in an apathetic area. No one is buzzing about the campaign. Check that. I live in an area where people have more important things to worry about. I go to a poorer black congregation where single moms have to worry about feeding their kids and keeping them out of trouble. They have to work extra just to pay for a hotel and travel expenses at an international convention. Oh and we just had a pointless invitation campaign last week to invite people to said convention that was in another state. People need a break. Nobody has shoved a pioneer application in my face as an MS. I wouldn't be surprised if most elders don't pioneer this month. Everyone is freaking worn out.

  I don't know how you can take it stuckinarut. But here if the elders got in someone's face talking that nonsense, they might actually get slapped.

  the attendance was 34k.

  that's resents less than 1% its about .6%.

  So at the international convention 235 were baptized. The attendance was 34k. That's resents less than 1% its about .6%. Overall there were 691 baptized and 108k in attendance. This again represents .6% of the attendance. No new ones baptized from my congregation. Still this beats the dismal amount baptized at my circuit assembly. In February we had 2 people baptized and an attendance of 800.

  @bu2b which location were you tled in from? I can't understand why the GB believes the bible teaches that door to door is the most important part of the ministry. There is no recorded experiences of Paul or Jesus ever doing it. Also what is with this celestial chariot representing the organization. Pure nonsense. I also winced he said that learning JW history means our lives! Yes our lives depend on reading the sanitized history of JWs in our new book. the organization is an idol. they are telling people to worship it for salvation.

  even at the convention the appearance of the majority was unhappy and tired.

  Most people I talk to love the privilege of being an attendant. This means you are "allowed" to wander the corridors pretending to be busy without being judged. Nobody wants to sit through the entire program. The administration and chairmans offices spend most of the program sleeping, talking and eating. No joke the CO was asleep in the chairmans office during the convention where I had a part on the program. It's a country club atmosphere behind the scenes.

Typing this in thebathroom as I await his concluding discourse.

  The two elders visited my sister again

  i phoned my sister and she told me that yesterday the two elders visited her again.

  she lives in a latin country (as i do).

  and as i shown before, just two weeks ago, these elders visited my sister because she is not attending the meetings.

  I doubt they will DF her. She doesn't go to the meetings. The CO will just tell the elders to leave her alone.
