Wait, is this really coming from the Watchtower? Cause if so, their Kingdom Hall Libraries must be full of old stale, moldy, dangerous, apostate food, not to mention the CDROM.

Leaked New Light on how the society gets New Light
by EndofMysteries intalk at next years district convention, "be eager to partake of the baker's fresh bread".
some have inquired if the faithful and discreet slave are spirit directed and are truely getting new light, why does the new light change so often, as with the case of the understanding of the generations?
imagine a baker bakes a fresh batch of loaves of bread.

Watchtower® and their education
by punkofnice inok. i'm a brit as some of you know.. what i noticed with the wbt$ is how they only seem to write from an american cultural standpoint.
not a bad thing if you're one of my cousins form the usa i admit........ but.... here in the uk there are some things that are meaningless to us.. eg hazing.
this was warned about in a study and over here we had no idea what it was and it kind of alienated the congregation from the study.

I never realized that the Watchtower doesnt have British English until I read this post. Really strange since other websites offer British English as an alternative and a lot of non-English speaking countries teach British English. It just makes it easier for them, rather than go back and change the spelling on certain words.

This reminded me of the time my aunt was in the hospital, no one really came to see her and her worldly husband noticed that. He was asking where the members of the congregation were since they say they are so loving? Really only the more popular or well known members get more attention. Like if the elder gets sick, there are big congregational arrangements made to help or go see him. Happened in my old congregation.
Very touchcing and sad story, thanks for sharing STADD.

Difference between WT selling property and "Christendom" selling property
by Jon Preston ini had this conversation with a jw relative.
he said when he was out in service one day the elder he was with came to a door of a minister who just purchased the churh in his area for ooooooh 12 mil maybe?
and the elder asked him how he liked being a commodity...bold.

How would he know that the money is returned to the organization? They could be using the money for other things, like paying victims of child abuse cases. NBC reported that they payed $781,250 for one person. Plus, in Southern California they're having memebers now pay for property and for building new kingdom halls out of their own pockets

Pondering The Increase in Memorial Partakers
by piztjw init has been discussed in other threads, but in pondering what the real reason for the increase in partakers is i have a personal theory.. this theory would naturally have to be based on ones actually believing the bible, and not just simply what the wt&t$ dictates that one must believe.. when jesus made a covenent with the apostles at the last supper to rule with him in heaven, is it possible that that covenent was with them only?
jw's will say that it also extended to all the rest of the 144,000. but nowhere is there a lliteral claim of only 144,000 in the bible.
in revelation, a book that jw's claim is filled with symbolism, that number is suddenly claimed by them to be literal.

my guess is that the increase could be due to the fact that it's been 100 years since 1914, people might think the end is really close. Something similar happened for 1975, though it wasnt as constantly growing as it has been today. The best thing to do is to wait and see what the numbers will be after 2014, it might drop in the folowwing years or continue increasing.

My perfect paradise house
by redvip2000 inwhile browsing throught my facebook timeline today, i came across a post from a facebook "friend" who is a hardcore zealous jw.
he obviously has no idea that i'm an apostate.
and so this person provides me endless entertainment on a daily basis with his delusional posts about the org.. today we had this gem, where he said he had just designed his paradise home in photoshop which i am posting a picture here.

Try dragging and dropping in the picture where you write the post. That's how I put pictures on here.
There are a lot of JWs who like to imagine their future homes. One elder and his wife said we couldn't have mansions because it would be unfair to have 100 rooms and big space for a family or themselves. I guess there are regulations in paradise haha. That same elder said he wants Kobe Bryant's or Michael Jordan's house. He's praying to Jehovah to save it during Armageddon if Jehovah allows it. Some crazy fantasy I'd say.

Todays wt study, a query, no oxymoron jokes !!!!!!
by jonahstourguide ini wonder, is this a new doctrine and when did "reason and scripture" take place.. .
page 25 paragraph 10 dec 15 2013 study wt.
10 the bread that the apostles could see and would soon partake of meant jesus body.
-

I was wondering about that too. I always assumed it meant the body of Christ, not the anointed. I don't remember ever hearing that it was suppose to be them. What's ironic is that many of the "Christendom" churches already figured that out long ago.

You don't suppose there will be "new light" at this meeting? Or maybe some new information like they did with the new bible, broadcast it around the world. It has to be something of great importance to be doing this, especially when they bring people from other countries and the Governing Body is there.

This May's new Watchtower Public edition is about prohpecies. It's titled "Can Anyone See the Future?
http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140501/
These are two intersting quotes I found:
"RELIGIOUS LEADERS sometimes predict tragic worldwide events to warn mankind and gather followers. Doomsday prophet Harold Camping and his disciples widely adver- tised that the earth would be destroyed in 2011. Needless to say, the world is still here." p.3
"GOD’S PROPHECIES VERSUS HUMAN PREDICTIONS
Human predictions are often based on such factors as scientific research, analysis of available facts and trends, or even bogus spiritual insight". p.6 (emphaisis mine) -
