after i had graduated high school in the early 1960s i decided to make a commitment to pioneer.

for my mother even pioneering was not good enough.......... her first choice was bethel.

Do you know what? I actually like some churches and cathedrals, they can be very beautiful and iconic. I also enjoy the peacefulness and great masonry you see in graveyards.

The WT conductor in my ex-KH said once that "jehovah was gonna knock down all the churches, like Westminster Abbey, Notre Dame" etc.... and I remember thinking to myself "what a jerk!" Here I am sitting in an ex-Nissen hut type thing with plastic flowers and awful curtains and he wants god to knock down great buildings!!! He also said from the platform that we had our own angel that guarded the KH. He even gave it a name. WTF!!! Him and his elderess wife went to Rome for a holiday and did'nt even visit the Vatican. You cannot go to Rome and not visit the V. What a complete moron.

Took the survey. There were a number of factors in me leaving though, built up over a number of years.

The straw that broke the camel's back was the cover-ups in child abuse cases.

we are all set for a lovely xmas week and nice holiday, but this image is indellably printed in my brain and i cannot erase it.. .

it's from the bible teach book, chapter 16 para 11. i did that many bible studies and trained them how we need to make a stand for true worship and not ever return to pagan practices.. so now over this season of good will, and fun i have a literal bitter taste.. are you having flash backs?

how can we remove these images from our brain?

I know what you feel. The scripture that pops into my mind now and then is "the dog returning to its own vomit"!!! Isn't the bible a lovely book???

The day I decided to DA myself I threw out ALL my literature. Bibles, the lot. Would you consider doing this? It's like when a relative dies and you put off clearing out their belongings. A wrench but when it's done, that part of the healing process can begin.

Keep strong. You have come this far.

my study conductor told me it attracted deemunz and i threw it in the trash.

a friend of mine recently had his co visit and in the elders meeting the co out-right asked the question: how are the friends doing in your cong.

as regards pursuing higher education?

the co continued...you know in view of all the counsel from the slave regarding the dangers.

Those guys want stringing up. One of the basic needs for every human is to have an education. I abhor what this cult what has done and is doing to young people. My dad hated them. Now I know why. It's taken me all my life to face up to this fact.

I know a young brother in my ex-KH who was a real sweetie but so naive. He had a great brain. Guess what his job is? Checkout and trolley collector at a store. Oh and his mom says she "just loves the ministry" (she must be certifiable) and wished her husband did as well!!! She's never even been abroad. Poor deslusioned family. I shake my head in disbelief.

The sooner this religion is exposed for what it really is the better, before any more people's lives are ruined.
