  Child Abuse or Apostasy...which is worse?

  i believe that apostasy is the ultimate jw sin.

  only apostates are mentally diseased.

  it's hilarious how a child predator or psychopath has never been called mentally diseased.

  Sing Dirges to Jehovah?

  back in 1985 my then-wife and i were having a lunchtime "gathering" at our place to show some support to the ones in our congregation who were full-time pioneers.

  i had just recently received the vinyl collection of the songs featured in the song book "sing praises to jehovah" which had been released the previous year.. .

  many of these melodies sounded depressing to me although i would have never admitted it at the time.

  Been visiting my husband's family this week, hence the silence. Needed a break and some think time. Anyway, I went to an Anglo-Catholic service last Sunday and it was pretty cool actually. I quite liked the "smells and bells". I went to another service on Tuesday, which was the Our Lady of Lourdes, praying for the sick day etc...I took a blessing, other congregation members encouraged me to do so.

  No mention of Satan at all in my 3 "Christendom" church services, which was dead refreshing. Met some nice peeps and generally feeling quite positive about God and stuff.

  I'll keep you updated.

  so awhile back, during our last circuit overseer visit, vic and i decided to bite the bullet.... there seemed to be very little support for the mid-week lunch plans for the co and his wife, so we signed up to host.

  we definitely didnt want it to be awkward, so we invited a few others along, as a nice little group affair.

  they were excited, and offered to do the cooking, so i said i would play along.. just some background.... this particular co is kind of a tool (big surprise right?

  Any explanation from the WT as to why Adam and Eve did not have sex before they sinned? (and other Genesis stumpers)

  (disclaimer- i know this is all fairy tales but i like to pick genesis apart since many millions still take it literally and is the foundtion of jw doctrine.

  without genesis being real, the whole thing collpses).

  i was just reading through genesis yesterday, and it really hit me.
