You two ladies are very naughty and I hope you continue to be so.
I love the bit about eating lunch so as not be seen as alcoholics. Shut up now and drink your lunch.
Enjoy life and don't do ANYTHING you're not happy doing.
...as we were enjoying our weekly sunday "no meetings margaritas.. my friend and i have been meeting for lunch and margaritas ( okay mostly margaritas, we throw lunch in so we dont feel like alcoholics lol ??).
instead of going to meetings.. ( we discovered we could have lunch*margaritas* without the meeting first.).
my jw lady friend still goes out "in service" and stays in touch with her "service buddies" who also know me.. so she was telling me that they asked about me and mentioned that they would like to stop by to see me.

a lone guy casually dressed with no tie knocked on the door and my son took him for a salesman , didnt answer the door and he soon left , he also noticed he put something in our letterbox as he left.. checking it out it was a flyer for the jehovahs witness convention which is a good 4-4 and a half hour drive from here where i live.. do they honestly think a householder who lives close to 4-5 hours away is going to go to a religous convention , when they have continously rejected the message in their own home town ?.
ok , so they are thinking , its advertising the convention to a far wider community in the state..... excuse me ?.
this particular convention is being held at etihad stadium in melbourne in oct.what has happened in previous conventions around australia , newspapers print special edditions to assemblys covering such conventions , however the rest of the state gets zero exposure to the assembly.. however the gullible rank and file think what a grand witness has been given with all this publicity .
The devil makes work for idle hands, apparently.
is your life over?
are you totally screwed up?
are you able to move on?
I am more cynical but I was TOO trusting before. It's a fine line isn't it?
this looks interesting, this guy is bringing the right to family life into his case.
many have thought of doing this.
maybe a good test case.. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/jehovahs-witness-sues-for-150000-after-church-snubbed-him-over-fraud-claims-9750062.html.
Good for him, bringing this disgusting practice to light.
I hope he wins, if not, the WT have brought reproach on God's name again!! Idiots.
Where do the WTBS get the money to fight these court cases??? We all know but do the poor drones???
i'm sure there are probably a few posters on here that have had experience themselves or had family members with eating disorders.
i'm posting here not for myself, but out of concern for someone else.. there is a teenage (about 16, recently baptized) brother who quite obviously has an eating disorder.
i have personally been at a few gatherings and seen him refuse all food while everyone else was eating, with the excuse that "he wasn't hungry", so i can say it's definitely an eating disorder and not some allergy or just a one-off.. i'm also not the only one who has noticed it - i've been in discussions with a few brothers and sisters who have also remarked on his conditon, but don't seem to know any more about it than i do.
That poor young man. I knew someone similar about 14 years ago. He was dyslexic but had been to mainstream school then a specialist unit. I wonder if this chap has the same problem but it's not been detected by his parents??
I really hope you can help and good luck with doing so.
i come here to learn, but i also come here because it feels like a private club and i'm privy to be a member of the "in" crowd.
it's a great place to socialize.
does anyone else feel that they are a member of a special "club" when they come here, that only some people in this world will understand the jw world?.
It's interesting, supportive and social.
I really enjoy reading different posts and getting the latest updates on the Borg.
Some great people on here.
if one had but three weeks to see the best of these, what are some of the musts in your opinion?.
besides london.. .
.
Slough and Bracknell are funny places, because they are so near to beautiful ones!! You have Windsor and the Great Park, Saville Garden, Virginia Water, Henley on Thames and some lovely villages around Reading. The Isle of Wight is very quaint, especially Ventnor and Godshill. I also love the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.
hi,.
i just stumbled upon this photo on facebook (pic by david j. m. coleman), and as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.... .
.
Isn't that ironic?? A picture speaks a thousand words.
Isn't it about time someone told the Charities Commission about these tossers??

I love Oxford (the architecture, to die for!!!), Blenheim Palace, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle.
The Highlands, especially around Loch Ness and Fort William, The Black Isle, Glencoe.
Cornwall, you have beautiful Padstow and the North Cornwall coasts, Port Isaac, Boscastle. In Devon, the stunning South Hams, Salcombe, Dartmouth.
And the piece de Resistance; Bracknell (also called "Sunny Brackers") when I worked there!!!
