What Shall I do tonight? I am young and single
by KateWild inso i have a couple of options..... 1. an other poster is happy to chat with me but although him and his partner seem lovely i am not sure if i want to, especially at midnight, it's seems a bit sad.
my jw friend is busy tonight with other jws going to a firework night, would have been nice if i wasn't a secret friend now.. 2. my ex collegue fro my mcdonald's years finishes work around midnight / 12.30, but he can't drink, i am trying to get him to be my wing man, but he needs to be in work new years day anyway.. 3. or i can post away here 24/ f ing /7.
i love this place guys i really do, but i am so dependent on you guys for human contact, i need to do something more productive with my time.. there are my three options, which one would you choose?.

i am in that stage and i feel as if i'm seeking out the ttatt.
i feel the wt society is hiding way too much.

Keeping you ignorant is the Watchtower Society's POWER over you!
by yadda yadda 2 inquite simply, most jw's are scared as heck of ever reading information critical of the watchtower society.
deep down they genuinly fear their 'faith' wouldn't stand it.. ignorance and resisting contrary information is the final defense for jw's.
it is the fall-back position they mentally run to at the slightest bit of criticism.

I reasoned with myself when I wanted to find out ttatt, that a judge in a court case would listen to both the prosecution and defence in order to make a ruling. It would be foolish to only listen and investigate one side of the story.
I rest my case!!!!

JW CHILDREN GET PRESENTS ALL THROUGH THE YEAR. REALLY?????
by NAVYTOWN inis it really true that jw children get gifts 'all through the year', not just for christmas and birthdays like non- jw kids?
as stingy as most jws are, i find that very hard to believe.
plus the childhood magic of christmas and birthdays is totally absent in jw households.

Always bought toys for my son.not extravagant but he had enough.also took foreign holidays and it was fun to buy souvenirs.he loves train and tank games on the pc now.

Hi there.Thank you for sharing.your story is inspiring.the fact you met up with your real love after all you'd gone through.look after each other.it's great that you still have a relationship with your children.I understand loneliness.I often felt alone in the truth and the odd one out.my life has shrunk, socially.my New year's resolutions is to make an effort to get more friends.join a club, do some voluntary work and an exercise class (need to lose weight too!!!). Keep sharing on Jwn.good place, good people. Feel free to message me.

Can we sue the WTBTS???
by quellycatface ini was reading an old article in a british newspaper about some jw's (in portsmouth) who had called the police regarding the wording in the 2011 wt, that if someone had da'd, left etc... re; questioning the wt teachings then they were "mentally diseased.
" they said this was "inciting religous hatred".
has this been mentioned again anywhere in the jw literature???.

I am still angry about things. I don't know how they could get away with that kind of stuff. It's also a kick in the guts for people who suffer with mental health problems (caused by the WT). Surely, it's not politically correct to write like this nowawdays??
p.s how about going on Oprah??

I was reading an old article in a British newspaper about some JW's (in Portsmouth) who had called the police regarding the wording in the 2011 WT, that if someone had DA'd, left etc... re; questioning the WT teachings then they were "mentally diseased." They said this was "inciting religous hatred". Has this been mentioned again anywhere in the JW literature???
Does anyone know what happened with this or any similar situations. The wording, indeed is very provocative.
