Have decided to check out my local parish church. It has a real mix of people. Old, young families and military personnel/families. They have an Outreach project, collect for food banks and liaise with other local churches. They have a Ramblers Club too (which I would love).Bell ringers AND a female vicar. Radical, eh?

My first service will be tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes.

heard a witness man from south carolina, killed his family & himself...has anyone heard ?

don't think he killed himself because he was a witness, most likely crazy before he became a witness... legacy.

Legacy, I give you an example. My Mum is a functioning alcoholic. I'm sure her illness lies with the JW's. She always wants to do more but for god's sake, she is 71!!! I keep telling her it's time to slow down and let the youngsters pick up the slack. She's in a vicious circle. Poor self-esteem (a la WT), drinking, ans so it goes. She never drank much until she went back to meetings in 2000.

Getting bariatric surgery in March!

after being on a waiting list for three and a half years i've finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel and am going under the knife for a gastric sleeve operation in march.

i can't tell you how pumped i am because i'll finally be able to re-take my life after being severely overweight for several years.

i gained a ton of weight after being put on meds for bipolar disorder and it made exercising a painful chore.

What do Baptists believe?

i'm thinking about going to church again because i'm really interested in god (today)!!.

sometimes i'm so confused and feel like there is no god, other days i do and want to try and get to know him.. i guess i'm scared because of all the bs that went on in the kh.. there is a local baptist church near me that seems nice.

i'm in the uk.

Just had a look at a local Anglican church. They have female ministers. Super!! I would a lot more comfortable talking to a woman if I had a problem. I can always remember seeing programmes on TV where people were going to their vicar and talking of their concerns, doubts, even if they felt there was no god...You cannot have doubts in the Borg. If you do it could make you an apostate. How ridiculous.
