Good for you. I have a nice time at my church. No one expects anything of me.
I'm glad you are able to come to terms with your family situation.
so yesterday i stopped by my sisters home and decided to just hang out and shoot the breeze... she was telling me that since she has stopped going to the kingdom hall (the last 9 months) she still looks for things to do on sunday.
she feels she should go and do something and she likes the idea of church.
it seems fun and will giove her a place to meet people.

it's been a while since i've posted anything about myself.
i've been on jwn for a couple of years.
my leaving the organization was not because i lost my faith, but i left because of my faith.
Thank you Darth, for sharing such a moving story. An inspiration to those having doubts.
You put it so well when you said, the more you read of the Bible, the more you saw through the Watchtower lies. The part about Jesus warning us to look out for false prophets.
I also believe, like you, there is more than this life.
Looking forward to hearing more.
So glad for you.
i have come to the conclusion that posting here and visiting this site is not healthy for me anymore.
i just get angry and upset when i read all the stories of injustice and corruption that go on in the jehovahs witness religion.
they are true no doubt, as i have personally experienced many injustices and abuses in my life from being a witness.
Good for you. The forum is here when it is needed. It has done it's work.
Have a great summer and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!!
Love Qcf X
when you were a devout jw.
did you feel that you had an actual "relationship" with jehovah/god just from praying to him and reading the wt or bible?.
or that this was actually even possible deep down?.
I always thought I had a relationship with God. He has answered many of my prayers. Some may call it luck, which I respect.
I now realise that I don't need to be part of an organization to have that relationship. I do go church however, as I enjoy the social side.
You gotta do what's right for you.
when i got up to leave, i went over to their table and said "nice to see you", their faces were a picture.
gemma obviously told them i was da'd.
all i got were tight smiles, so i said to gemma "i like your hair like that" and left......
I just WANTED them to know that I DIDN'T have any hard feelings. Why should'nt I say hello? I'm not under a court order or restraining order!!!
We are ALL God's children.
No malice intended.

I was in my local cafe this morning and 3 sisters walked in, one I knew to speak to. I turned around and said "Hi Gemma", then one of the other sisters said "Hello, how are you?". I said "fine thanks, nice to see you" and went back to my converation with my 2 friends.

It felt good to be a good Christian and greet these poor cult members.
info from someone at the regional convention:.
(sorry about the format).
matthew 6:33 keep on seeking first the kingdom.
Thank you for your time and effort gathering that information.
Sounds a really fun day.
hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.
i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.
we do about 2 bible studies a week.
I'm not going to bash, berate or judge you but I will say this;
DON'T GO THERE.
just wondering.. do you agree/disagree with capital punishment?.
are there any circumstances that would justify it?.
or is taking any human life unacceptable, regardless of the crime?.
The Chamber by John Grisham is also a good read.
Some people deserve the death penalty. Child abusers, paedophiles and the like.
But, then in the cases of terrorism offences, that could make them martyrs?
There has to be a suitable deterrent for criminals. Jail is just too easy.
