Perhaps the repetition of 1 Co. 6 of "men who lie with men, and men kept for unnatural purposes... will not inherit God's Kingdom" got lost in the translation. Afterall, these men could have reasoned, "it says men, and not boys." And, "then again, what does kept for unnatural purposes mean...? Does it mean chained to a binding press for the rest of one's life?"

GB Members Greenlees and Chitty
by Greenlees_or_Chitty inleo greenlees governing body member leo k. greenlees was forced to resign and leave bethel in late 1984. he entered the toronto, canada bethel in 1936, eventually becoming treasurer of the canadian branch and of the ibsa of canada.
in 1964 he went to brooklyn bethel, and in 1965 was elected as a director of the society's new york corporation.
as a director greenlees automatically became a "governing body" member when that body was formally instituted in 1971. he often spoke at gilead graduations, and was the concluding speaker for the day at the watchtower centennial business meeting at three rivers stadium in pittsburgh, pennsylvania on october 6, 1984. a 1982 watchtower mentions him as being on the teaching committee of the governing body.

Gilead
by AllTimeJeff ini will use my other thread today to talk about gilead.. one must apply for several years to show they are serious, unless you know a gb member or another heavy in the service dept.
a couple first gets a long app in the mail usually after several years of applying at the dc.

Sounds like your friends should touch base with this opportunity, then they could get a Lexus SUV and clean those offices real "clean". Maybe even run a bootleg WTS used book business out of the back of the vehicle, seeing that the GB is monitoring E-Bay. I say tell them to go for it.

How to create a Molten Calf Worship -- Level 101:
An object of worship among the Hebrews, mention of which occurs principally in Ex., xxxii, where the story of the molten calf of Aaron is narrated, and in II Kings, xii (cf. 2 Chronicles 11), in connection with the policy of Jeroboam after the schism of the ten tribes. The modern day calf is the WTS. Brooklyn Bethel has replaced the holy spots on hills, the temple in Jerusalem, and the Moloch drop-in centers.
This course entails the establishment of diversity from the mainstream, namely:
Why worship Jesus when you can worship Russell, Rutherford, Knorr and Franz, and the new bozos Ted et.al.?
Why listen to Biblical Scholarship when you can revel in the "holy oracles" from New York?
Why use blood, when you can kill your kid and get a few condolences from the elders (if they're not too busy on a stake out waiting to screw someone)?
Why love your family when they're spiritually dead, and you can worship the molten calf from Brooklyn in the form of a CO/DO visit?

What Naughty Things Did You Know Of That Went On In Your Hall?
by minimus inas an elder, i knew a lot of things that happened in the congregation, including "secret sins".
what i also knew was that some persons were quite good at being sneaky----especially the teens.
years after my daughter stopped hanging around certain friends and she was in her 20's, she told me little juicy tidbits of what some of her best friends regularly got away with.

Years after leaving I was living in Franconia New Hampshire and we went to town one evening to buy beer, etc. Lo and behold, who got out of a car but 2 middle aged Witnesses from the congo in Boston I once was associated with. Only problem, one was married to another sister, the other was single. They were all lovey dovey in fall foliage splendor and the look on their face to see me as they were kissing and spending a romantic weekend together. I wished them well and gave them a few hints on a good place to stay and grab dinner.

My last assembly I brought a pint of liquor, and it still wasn't enough - I was at a Providence R.I. bar before the afternoon session began. Needless to say, that the ride home with the family was great - sitting in the back seat and listening to their shreiks about New Truths, and me mumbling "what a load of crock." That was it!
