I'm so excited! I've been invited! I'll make sure not to scuff my Easter shoes. Matter of fact, I'll take the searsucker suit out of mothballs and air it out. Man, that new hibachi should add zest to the tailgate party I'm planning. Goal, have more people hanging out in the parking lot than inside. Yes, please thank the brothers for considering the rest of us. Should be able to place a few C of C books, and even more gin and tonics.

Why does the great crowd go to memorial?
by *jeremiah* in"do this in remembrance of me"...... ...those words jesus utters,..according to the wt,...is specifically for "the annointed",...right?.
if jesus at the last supper is speaking directly to "the annointed class",...that they should parttake and "do this in remembrance",...then why do the r & f even go to the memorial?.
looking at it through jw eyes,...jesus didn't invite members of "great crowd" to the last supper,...right?

To resume the lies the WTS invented. Other than that, it's a good time for the kids to get new shoes, seeing that Easter doesn't exist.

To wrap my hands around the former CEOs neck and watch him choke. After that, the former CTO, a push from the 10th floor to the ground. Then, a few cold tall boys. But instead, I think it's a great day for a resignation letter, and a long walk to the pub. Guess I finally hit the wall here - no one to talk to.... it's like being back at the KH - say something honestly, and everyone shuts down. Spin crap, and be a star; but don't complain, disagree, or see the emperor without clothes. At least it's a beautiful spring day in Atlanta. A good day to get over the past year plus of 7 days a week. A good day to write poems and songs. A good day to stay outside.

Good report or good news from a distant land? Used to support FS reports
by truthseeker ini know there is a thread on field service reports, but i thought this was interesting.. we are always told to hand in our reports at the end of the month.. one scripture used to support this unbiblical practice is proverbs 25:25. the nwt says: 25as cold water upon a tired soul, so is a good report from a distant land.. if you visit the site below, all but one translation uses the phrase "good news.".
do you think the society deliberately mistranslated this scripture to support the field service reporting arrangement?.

Assembly talks-WHy did they talk so loud at the end!?
by themonster123 inwhenever i would go to conventions, i thought it was weird how at the end of the brothers' talks (especially the older ones like from the governing body or whatever), they would start getting louder and louder and louder.
ie; "in this time of the end, we need to keep on the watch for our adversary satan is roaring about like a lion!!!!
do you agree??".

WW!
by thebiggestlie inokay this is just a short little observation.
the jws often point to wwi as a sign that the last days had started in october of 1914 when christ was supposedly enthroned as king in heaven and begun his parousia (or his presence as theyd lead one to believe).
now the political unrest that led up to wwi had already been brewing for a while but it wasnt until28th of june 1914, gavrilo princip, a bosnian serb student, shot and killed the archduke of austria franz ferdinand.

Russell was as much a prophet as Mick Jagger, when he penned 'Sympathy for the Devil.'
The inspiration for this hellish detour came from Soviet writer Mikhail Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita, which depicts Satan having his way in 1930s Moscow.
