They were very shook up when I left - one brother threatened to pummel me for "being stupid and leaving." Many cried. The biggest issue was who was going to resume my 8 bible studies. Sure they resolved that, but I'm still uncertain why I don't receive Christmas cards from them...

I try to wake up and know that today is going to be the best day of my life, and then it's up to me to make it that way. I once heard Jorma (Jefferson Airplane) play "the sun gonna shine in my backyard someday." I heard that song many years, but that night, I realized it was time to end the depressions and self pity and let the sun shine in. What a beautiful day today is!

OMG, the stink,,,,,,
by kls inlast-night i am getting ready to go to bed when i hear my hubby holler ( " omg they stink) i go running out to the living room and yep ,both dogs got sprayed full blast right in the face by a skunk.
the stench was making me gag .
one dog runs in my bedroom and is rubbing her face all over my bed to get the stinging to stop .

No KHalls for Hurricane relief
by SadElder ineldubs in florida (maybe elsewhere too) have been told that the kingdom halls should not be used for relief efforts or for shelters.
liability and insurance issues were stated as the reason.. will try and get a copy of this letter.. of course the kingdom halls are supposed to be the center of true worship and a place of comfort but i guess only in fair weather.
what a crock.

Do you feel you will always be "different" from the "world" ?
by LyinEyes inall of my life,, except for the last two years i was a jw, and i wonder if i will always feel like i am still so very different from the rest of most everyone i know.
i guess i still feel like i am on the "outside" looking in, in on the world of the people i was so alienated from for so long.. i celebrate birthdays, all the holidays, i stand for the national anthemn, but still it does not quiet feel second nature to me .
as i stand watching my son play high school football, my mind is always wandering on the marvel of what i am seeing.
