On the eve of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the U.S. packs crates for 5,000 bombs to be sent to Israel. The US Hadassah and Jewish Leagues send gelt/$$$$ everyday to Israel to buy weapons, not the trees I thought I was planting as a kid with money collected for synagogues and the Bnai Brith. I saw that program and it was indeed awesome. Is there a way to get a copy of it? It blew me away about what I once thought about the "torture stake" vs. "cross" subject. Boy was I duped by Brooklyn (s)collarship. Phew! Thanks for mentioning the program.
in trying to deal with the everyday realities of our existence, we usually pick "catch phrases" or principles with which we use to try & guide our life, growth & development.
in my case, the #1 thing that i try to live by is to take what is mine & own it.
yep, i didn't have the best circumstances growing up, and had some pretty crappy things that happened to me as a child.

Forgot to mention how one CO stated twice from the platform that they would not "endure leftovers." So days in the service were comprised of pubs stopping at one shop, or other to buy the CO and COess delights from Babylon.

Great thread - brings back so many memories. Pioneering with the COs and bringing them on Bible Studies, and they would talk such insanity to studies who were high and loaded. They would leave telling me how they thought the study needed to be prodded and dragged to meetings, and as we would be going to another study, the past study would be getting high again and loaded. Great progress! Brother Brown would call down fire, "no one will hide from the fury of the Great God!' And then there was Conti on RVs, phew! He would tell them in mafia style how Jehovah would decimate them at the big Feast of the carrion birds. Thompson was like the Judge, mean bastard who would wail at people at the door, and when they would refuse a 6 month BS to get paradise, he would read some passage about "being gaffed by fish hooks and hung up by the jawbone." LMAO - those guys were crazy! Yes, the bulletin board sign up to "host" and the fights to get Friday night - an early glimpse of Sunday's lecture. The show was awesome, as if a Cardinal or the Pope were coming. And yes, when the CO and DO were there, hell one would have thought they were in the manger. And when a Bethelite visited, especially an "important one" - now you were standing in the Holies. How the hell did they pull it off?

after reading some of the comments against silent lambs, i thought i would respond back with my own topic.
anyway, i have met bill bowen in person at the silent lambs summit in nashville back in march.
i did not feel that he was arrogant in anyway or egotistical.he seemed to conduct that summit in a very professional way and really put together a good program.
I agree. Loved your post JG. Bill is helping many, and that's all that counts.
