" It was a blessing to meet a few good cops who laughed that we shouldn't have parked down the road from the theatre that was getting out, and watching the action emanating from the back of a pinto station wagon. They even disregarded the acrid smell and the empties that fell out of the vehicle when I came out (on order), put on my jeans, and gave them ID. Nice cops, real nice. yes, "get a room" is good advice.

  these guys all have to be of the 'annointed' but jws say the calling to be of this class ended in 1935. whats with these very young new members?.

  Once upon a time I considered myself a "replacement" and that freaked out the powers that be in a few congos, but I finally know why there have been so many recent replacements (to hell mortuary tables) - the G.B. disfellowshipped the first century church for disagreeing with their New Light. Aha! And the door opens WIDE once again. Any takers?

  Thanks for the great Bethel pics! Brings back memories of tours of the "Holy Land". To think that men with the composure of Barber are running a trillion dollar business and are asked for guidance in congregation matters i.e. family problems. Then again, Fred wasn't cooking on many cylinders at the end. I think Barber should give the District talks on porneia - he looks like a natural.

  Suicide among Jehovah's Witnesses

  this topic has been covered many times, in many different ways, but let's open this for discussion: if the witnesses allowed an elder per congregation to be trained as a "pastoral counselor" as other religions do, would that make it more bearable to be a witness and play by their rules?

  would it lessen the number of depressed, suicidal people who feel they have no reason to live?.

  Train the elders, nah, it would be easier to train pigs to sing, or cats to write operas. These self righteous bastards have lost their compassion by the time the WTS puts a badge of ELDER on their sorry asses. And BTW, most elders need counseling themsleves due to burnout and delusion. Thoughts....
