After 10 years without a meeting I decided a few years ago to go to one in a town no one knew me. I sat in the back and didn't make it through 1 session. HAD to go! The scene was too bizarre, and the mad people and talk were from another world. It took a few rounds of doubles to straighten out after THAT!

Walter-
You answered the "marital due" question, but still want to know what Wednesday is reserved for - hall cleaning, quick builds, or golf with the COs?

WT and the UK Data Protection Act
by IT Support injoyzabel's post on a recent thread, and my response to it, prompted an idea which i thought merited a new topic regarding the congregation's publisher record card and someone who's trying to do the 'fade.
' however, before you read a long post, i must emphasise i have no professional expertise in this area, it is simply an idea that came to me, and i would appreciate any constructive criticism.
first though, a little background...

They keep the records to cover their lying asses if there are legal tangles later, OR
The new light will make them Mormon-Like and they're going to baptize the dead df'ed. It's the "Apostate Geneologies." Once again, New Light in next year's publication - "We are God's People - Not You!"

What are the qualifications to get into Bethel?
by tyler m ini confirmed from a reliable source that my brother will be going to bethel.
we have no contact.
what requirements do you have to meet for this "honor"?

I was recommended for Bethel before my wife decided she was in love with another brother, and had a crackup. Thank God when the CO came back to our congo to discuss my decision for Betel she was drunk, took a fall, and that was the end of dreams of translating manuscripts with the likes of the blind rat bastard Fred Franz. Just think what could have been... NOT!

Having been a full time pioneer (100+ hrs a month) I have 2 questions:
1. What's happening on Wednesdays?
2. Why not give the wife a few more hours and spend less time on donuts?
Loved the post!

Did you know of any JWs fighting in the Kingdom Hall or arguing in the KH?
by booker-t inthis might sound funny but i have heard many stories of jw's fighting in the kh bathroom or arguing.
i remember an elder's wife who was having alot of medical problems cursed out another sister in the bathroom.
she called her everything but the kitchen sink i was told by another sister that was in the bathroom when this altercation took place.

Was at a KH build in Western Mass. 2 elders began to disagree on the way the roof was being shingled, and the next thng Herb goes at Antonio full blast, knocks the little "brother" to the ground and begins to smash him in the head with a elbow and a few punches. I jumped off the roof and played peacemaker and got hit by both of them as I tried to stop the fight. The other brothers and sisters (heplers to the Nethinim) all stood by having personal opinions on who should get the best of the fight.

by GetBusyLiving inever forgot you were in a kingdom hall and just blurted out a curse word?

I was told to wait after the meeting to meet with the JC, they had a queue waiting for "counseling." I waited a while in the library, checked the KH locked cabinet - stole 4 publisher cards (wife and friends), took 2 judicial folders (unlocked committee cabinet - that's a no-no) and left the hall. My ex-wife was waiting out front with other Witnesses, and asked, "are we done for tonight?" And I replied, "they can go fu&% themselves if they think I'm waiting to hear more dog sh&t." They called the house, but I wouldn't pick up for a few days.

Watchtower says you're SELFISH!!!
by zack inlast week's wt study was on selfishness.
ostensibly, on living as a christian and being self sacrificing.
we know that you're going to college and we don't want you to.

The brothers in Malawi weren't selfish, they died for nothing. So... that's what service is about. Sister Mahoney died in her home, half starved, without medicine, without a dime, she wasn't selfish as she sat in her home all alone in the cold. Afterall, she donated her last "mite" to the jet set G.B. Bastards!

I have a copy of Libronix (Logos) software and the OnLine Bible Software - I appreciate both of them. I think Anchor is great on Wisdom books, I enjoy the Jerusalem for the prophets, as well as the Soncino Press Commentaries, and Berkeley for the Pentateuch. J.B. Philips I love for the Greek Scriptures, as well as the Amplified and the NWT - NOT! The best thing with the Online Bible is to have Hebrew texts, Greek texts, lexicons, as well as commentaries all simultaneously in different windows. The Online Bible is affordable and an excellent tool.

My Baptist preacher buddy turned me on to biblegateway. Excellent site.
