It looks like they have shut the site down. I did what you said, but when I clicked on the subjects it said NOT FOUND. So it looks like the Gestapo has got its way again. I would have been good if the Author of the site, could relaunch it and even get loads of other clones of it set up all over the place.

Hi Christofer
If you get the chance, ask her who is her Mediator. That really gets at a JW, if you tell them that Jesus Christ is NOT their Mediator according to the Society.
Its all on the site you mentioned. Look at my testimony on www.witforjesus.org and you will find a lot more help on dealing with doctrinal issues.
My name is Dave Hall by the way.

Why do churches still make me panic ?
by Aiesha Harley ini'm really glad i've found this site a week ago.
reading some of the stories and comments on here has really helped.
there are so many out there who's lives have been ruined by the so-called truth.. i was brought up in the truth as an elders daughter, youngest of 5, a brother and sister had been disfellowshiped, other brother had left as a teenager and my other sister is still sitting on the fence aged 40 going on 15, if she'd made a decision instead of sitting on the fence i'm convinced she wouldn't be the alcoholic mess she is today!

Hi, I was raised a Jw from 4 years of age and my wife was born into it. We left in 2001 after I had 49 years in it and my wife had 52 years in it. My wife HATED Churches and thought that Jehovah would destroy them at Armageddon. I served as an Elder for a number of years, and my Dad was one of the old type Congregation Servants, and even set up a Congregation in the 1950s. So we know what CONTROL and MIND GAMES are all about.
When we left the Cult, my wife still thought it was the truth, and every time I told her about stuff I had read on the internet, she would SCREAM at me, that I was getting involved with APOSATE thinking.
After 18 months of praying and searching, I decided to go to a Church one Sunday morning, I had heard that a couple of exJW studies were going there, so I thought it might be OK.
When I got up early on the Sunday in November 2002 my wife asked where I was going, so I told her that I was going to visit a freind, to which she replied NO YOU ARE NOT YOU ARE GOING TO A CHURCH, and then amazingly she said she did not mind me going.
When I walked in the old building with all its Gothic Arches, Alter area etc I felt very strange. There was a big banner with a cross on it, which said HE IS RISEN.
A lady said HELLO, and then I said I shouldn't be here as I was a JW for 49 years. Then another lady said hello, and I said the very same thing. I then sat gingerly half way down the Church and then the music started. Thankfully the Pastor DID NOT HAVE A DOG COLLAR ON as I would probably have walked out. The Church is a free non denominational Church, and is NOT AT ALL FORMAL in fact the opposite.
When they were singing the lovely songs, and worshipping God how I always thought he should be worshipped, it resonated with my very being. I realised that I had found my spiritual home.
My wife was pleased for me, but she said YOU WILL NEVER GET ME INTO THE CHURCH. That very week she was rushed into hospital with acute apendicitis, and when I told the Christians at the Church, they all prayed for her swift recovery. I could not believe how much these people cared for my wife. In fact she had not been shown that amount of love as a JW. After about 2 weeks I gave my life to the Lord at a house group and 2 weeks after that my dear wife gave her life to the Lord as well. We were both baptised in that same Church in May 2003.
My wife loves going to that Church now, and she detests the dark Satanic Kingdom Halls. The Lord has set us both free, but in my wifes case, she will tell anyone that the CONCRETE BLOCKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED from her shoulders.
Read my testimony on www.witforjesus.org
Both of our daughters have also come to the Lord and our oldest daughter who is 37 has recently been diagnosed with Lung Lymphoma, but the Christians are praying with her all the time, and the cancer has not spread anywhere else and she is safe with Jesus Christ now.
We are so thankful that our Lord has delivered us from tyranny.

Have JW's condemned their people to death?
by sinis inthis was touched on in another thread but after reading the requirements of the new covenant, i believe since the witnesses do not partake they have no hope.
the mosiac law was a contract between jehovah and the isrealites.
if they obeyed fine, if not, they broke there end of the bargain.

I totally agree with this thread. My wife runs a Therapy Clinic and has 2 JWs as patients (they come even though they know who we are). Today she stuck her neck out and told them that Jesus was NOT their Mediator. The husband got all defensive, but the wife said she would check up on it. My wife told them that the Society says it, not so called Apostates.
I really believe that this one doctrine is the one that can rock the boat of the average JW, because they just do not know about it. When I was an Elder back in the mid 80s I actually asked a prayer through OUR Mediator Jesus Christ, and was taken to task by another Elder over it. That did not sit well with me, but it still took a number of years for us to get out. Thankfully we now know our Lord and Savior Yeshua our King. I wanted to partake of the emblems for years. Now we do as BA Christians.

I have only just found this thread, and have not got time to read all of the posts on this subject, but since I have left the Cult, I have done a lot of my own research into this chronology and have found that Nebuchanezzer was not even King until 604 BC, so there is no way he could have destroyed Jerusalem in 607 BC. However the Davidic Kingship ENDED in 604 because Pharaoh Necho removed the legitimate King and replaced him with a false King who was under his command.
So the count of the 2520 started from 604 and ended in 1917 whicb was the very year that Jerusalem was liberated from the Turks without a fight, by General Allenby, whose name in Turkish just happens to be prophet of Allah. The Turks were told to only surrender the City to a prophet of Allah. The year 1917 was the year 1335 in the Islamic calender and is mentioned in Daniel 12 as 1335 days. The prophecies relating to 604-1917 fit the historical facts far better than 1914 does. And after all, the appointed times of the Nations related to JERUSALEM not some fanciful WT interpretation.
The WT do not want to face facts, any more than the Mormons do over the supposed Lamenities, Nephities etc (Native American Indians) being descendants of the Jews. The DNA blows it out of the water.

Living proof: Elders are not spirit appointed
by IP_SEC inwitnesses say that elders are appointed by holy spirit.
the bible is the product of hs and when the body prays and uses the bibles qualifications for older men in the context of the perspective candidate hs is involved in his approval or disapproval.
then when the co passes the recommendation on the gb (or who ever actually makes the decision) these spirit appointed men are influenced by hs.. all well and good, the only problem is, it does not work.

If its any comfort Honesty, my wife had a vison about 2 years ago, it was a big stone watchtower up on a hill, and all of a sudden cracks started appearing in it. She said a bright light from heaven was shinning into the top of it, and then stones were being loosened from the walls and started rolling down the hill. She was also told that the Lord would send them running to us, and that we would be a beacon to them.
This is starting to happen now. My wifes best friend who actually left the borg with her husband 30 years ago, has now started phoning us up, because she is concerned for her aged parents who are still in the borg. She met them today for lunch, and they told her that one of the 'brothers' had committed suicide. We knew the family, and knew his sister very well.
So we now know 5 people who killed themselves because of that religion. The friend started to talk to her parents about what I had told her about the WT and she got the usual response 'Apostate Lies' to which she replied, well Dave (thats me) would say that your Society are the Apostates. She then said to her Dad 'But Chris and Dave still LOVE YOU' and why should I believe that you are telling the truth any more than Dave?
So after 30 years Joy (thats her name) has at long last stood up to her Mum & Dad. She has been living with Guilt and Fear ever since they left all those years ago. The WT actually CURSE people and cause them all sorts of problems even when they leave unless they get those curses broken in the name of Jesus precious shed blood.

Need for an org and need to be judged by one's works
by karola ini need some help reaching a friend regarding the faults of the society and the control they have over us.
i keep stressing that the nt insists that salvation is by faith and not by works and that those under works of law are in fact under a curse.
(see gal 3:10-11 and romans 3:20-24).

The chapter in 1 Corinthians 5 talks about sexual sin and relates it to eating the bread and drinking the wine of the communion celebration. Paul was telling the Congregation not to eat with such a person who was partaking of the emblems whilst they were living an immoral life. He also told them to remove the person from their fellowship. Obviously some Churches will enforce this, whilst others do not. I tend to leave it up to God to do the judging.

Brand New Blood Card
by PoppyR inhubby has just come back from the service meeting where they have been handed out brand new style blood cards, now called 'advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment' .
it's quite a bit different.
and has the line on it about giving permission to the hospital liason committee to see your notes and medical records.. very scary stuff i think, and i certainly wont be filling one in.. i'm really short of time tonight, but will scan it in, along with the notes that go with it and try and post it some time over the next day or so if someone else doesn't beat me to it!.

The very last meeting that my wife and I attended in June 2001, we were asked to sign our Publisher Record cards. We had not been to a meeting for a few weeks, and that is the first thing they asked us to do. I was shocked and disjusted that they wanted me to do that, so I asked WHY? The Elder said it was because of the DATA PROTECTION ACT.
In the UK at the moment, the Government are trying to push a law through that is supposed to be against Religious Hatred. supposedly to legislate against ranting Mullah's who preach hatred.
However as we are now Born Again Christians, we have been informed that it would totally curtail any Religious Group from saying that ALL other religions are false and only their way is TRUE. As Christians we are concerned that the Muslims will use the law to attack Christians who preach that Jesus is the only way the truth and the life, and every other way is false.
I believe that the WT will come under that law if it goes through, and as they preach HATRED for ALL other religions, this blood card could be a 'test' to see if the minnions will sign their rights away. If it works over blood, they could also get ALL the publishers to sign a form that they totally accept that they accept the WT as the sole dispensers of truth.
They may then moderate their nasty attacks on other religions in printed format, so that they do not appear to be flouting the law.

Is Christ Mankind's Mediator?
by SWALKER inthis is a continuation of the thread started under "just had some fun with dubs at my door" and i thought that because the subject was more regarding the issue of mediator, i'd just start a new thread.. i hope that posters can tell in their own words how they understand this subject and not cut and post from the watchtower.
we are all well aware of their views on the subject.
i for one, studying several years ago, came to the conclusion that i didn't agree with their explanation, that christ was the mediator only for the 144,000. here are a few of my thoughts on it:.

Just found this thread. Was a JW for 49 years, served as an Elder, and once when I prayed in the name of Jesus our MEDIATOR I was councelled that he WASN'T OUR mediator. Ever since that time I realised that they were teaching falsehoods.
It still took us a few more years to fianally get out. I believe that this ONE point is something that MOST JWs do not even realise and many need to know about.

The whole of the Borg is based on lies and blasphemy Danny. When I was a kid, my Dad told us that none of us would dies and we would all be in paradise soon. That was in the mid 1950s. I had a younger brother (killed at 17) an even younger sister (died in 2000 after many years of mental illness over her brothers sudden death) Dad died early 1994 and finally Mum died early 2001. I am the only one left out of a family of 5 and I am knocking on 59 years of age.
But the Lord God has released me and my wife and both daughters and their husbands from Satanic captivity. The only truth is Jesus. He is the way the truth and the life, and we are so glad we have found it.
