  Do you believe that Jehovah is using the Organization today?

  any elder has never asked me that question so far but i want to be prepared to answer that question if any of them ask me that question in the future.

  i hope that they will never ask me that question.

  any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated.

  I currently believe there is/was a creator...but not a god as instructed to believe by my JW upbringing. So that would make me an atheist to the long held belief in a loving god!

  i know that it must seem silly to ask, but my brother and his family think that the big a will arrive before they die.

  i tried to explain to my brother that everyone else who has ever lived in the past has died and only jesus has [physically] rose from the dead.. it is amazing that anyone could buy that line.

  what crazy cult culture that could make people believe such nonsense?!.

  Yes...but, I felt I could dye from "normal" ways, accident or illness...but surely not growing old and dying in this old system, as Armageddon would come and save me/us. That was the teaching. That was the carrot, you would never grow old and die in this present system of things! - if you keep doing what you are told to do!

  "if you are a young person you need to face the fact you will never grow old in this system of things.. why not?

  because all the evidence in fulfilment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years...as a young person you will never fulfil any career that this system offers".

  Yes they are despicable...what would expect from a cowardly group of men? They are trying everything they can to hide-bury their past failed predictions. I have the original bound volume and showed it to a few in the past...most saying "that was old thoughts". Not able to grasp the full impact of what this teaching had. That's the power of a cult!

  True, that why I try and live my life with this in mind.." Love all, trust a few, do harm to none". Not trying to be sappy but it helps me to not be too critical of what others believe.

  Not that I'm indifferent to a good debate...argument

  I lean toward facts, and let the chips fall. I had to make a lot of adjustments since awakening from the JW mind control. A loving God..creator (?) just doesn't align with the facts

  I don't discount most things anymore...until the evidence at hand is more compelling then I had before. I leave myself open to new lines of reasoning and make adjustments. Because in the end it will not matter what I believed...
