  Odd CO talk...ever hear anything like this?

  had our co visit last month.

  normally the guy has all the charisma and charm of ben stein from "ferris buhler's day off", but he managed to give a talk that was actually coherent one night.. here is the rough outline:.

  the theme was about the difference between "justice", "mercy", and "undeserved kindness".. situation 1: adam and eve sinned.

  Didn't watch the video, the comments are enough. But yeah, it's not a zit, it's a cyst. And like Goshawk said, it's not enough to drain them, the cyst pocket needs to be removed surgically so it doesn't fill again. There's a high risk that, once opened, it can get infected, and since the cyst pocket goes pretty deep, this can be a big problem, not just a gross one. If you ever get one of these, it needs to be treated by a doctor.

  JW hijacked sisters my wedding

  just a few months ago my little jw sister got married at 19. i remember how excited she was when she started planning the wedding.

  both she and her partner made it clear that there were lots of none jw's present (myself included) so it was not to be a "theocratic" event.

  I had to go toe-to-toe with certain family members *cough*MIL*cough* so that the invitation would NOT be posted in the KHs. I invited 100 people, and well over 200 showed up. I served cake and punch, we ran out of everything before I even got any cake. There was no hijacking possible though, because I made sure to hold the reception at a place that turned off the lights and locked up at 10:30pm. Reception started at 8ish. I wanted to "elope."

  did an "entertaining" work plant a seed of doubt?.

  the first one i can remember making a definate comparison to the witnesses in my mind was ray bradbury's martian chronicles.

  MY APOLOGIES TO ALL

  looking back over the last few weeks, i think i've been unnessarily rude to some posters and i just want to apologize to anyone who has been on the receiving end of my anger recently.. i believe that i'm so angry, dismayed, devastated and heartbroken over what's happening to my brother in law, that i've been taking it out on others and that's not right.

  it makes absolutely no difference what i think of the wts as a whole, or whether or not americans have a universal healthcare system......none of that makes any difference whatsoever when someone you love and has been like your brother for 35 years is dying and there's not a fucking thing we can do about it.. my sister just called me and there's more bad news, and that's that his disease has now progressed into the acute myeloid leukemia which means he cannot start the therapy they were going to give him, as this is far more serious now.

  they want to start chemo right away, but his blood counts aren't up high enough for him to survive.

  ziddina, no kidding, it was so strange that, if I didn't know him, I would suspect that he had "perversion" issues himself. In the past I've had plenty of time to observe him, so I don't have any reason to believe that he is "interested" in children or in force, however, he does absolutely regard women as second class citizens. It's the old, tired line about the "weaker vessel" and headship, I'm sure.

  Jimmy, I don't know if the society ever put it in writing, but I do seem to remember an article years ago that gave an experience of someone urinating on her would-be rapist, and a follow up that defecation and vomiting could also be effective. I'm assuming it was one of those made-up experiences? I don't have access to the Litter-ature anymore, so I can't look it up.

  LOL @ Avi, a guy like that is going to toe the party line all the way. Look it up on the internet? Not. I doubt he'd be looking up what he would regard as "apostate lies" on the internet. Oh man would I ever like to be an observer though, if in some strange universe he found himself trying to go toe to toe with you! :)

  I found out from family that U-I-L was a convert, and he came from a bad background. Might go a ways to explaining his fanaticism, although it hardly excuses it. Anyways, I doubt I'll be seeing him again.
