  speaking of kingdom halls... .

  so the society asks for donations to build kingdom halls.

  it then takes the donated money and loans it back to the very people who just donated it and charges them interest!

  encourage, truth, witness, apostate, worldly... .

  so how did those words get so loaded?

  i was doing homework tonight, and the material started talking about a theologian's understanding of love using "agape, philia and eros.

  " i realized that i have no proper understanding of what those terms (particularly agape) really mean, just that stupid jw mantra "love based on principle.

  did anyone see the recent questions from readers that cautions against about using gift registries for you wedding?

  no joke.

  sept 1, 2003.whether a couple who are getting married wish to use a gift registry is a matter for personal decision.

  Being close to "worldly" relatives

  my mom said something to me tonight that has me thinking.

  i have a lovely cousin about 7-8 years older than i. we look like sisters, and she has a wonderful, engaging personality.

  she is also smart, articulate, loyal and very down-to-earth.

  JAMA article on blood and JWs

  on www.watchtower.org there is a reprint of an article from jama (journal of the american medical association) from way back in 1981.. http://www.watchtower.org/library/hb/index.htm?article=article_06.htm.

  does anyone have access to back copies of jama?

  i'm curious if this is in the editorial section and who the author was.

  "Placement" Publications

  what does one do with their old placement literature.

  it looks like a kingdom hall book room around here, and i don't know how to get rid of the stuff, other than a midnight "drop and run" at the local kh.

  not the most desirable option, as the kh is guarded by some old circuit servants in an apartment.. odrade
