  The evidence is growing that homosexuality is a birth defect due to hormonal conditions of the mother while the fetus is developing. The ratio of finger lengths of gays is different that straight. Gay men are more likely to have hair on the back of their head curl counterclockwise than straight men. Both of which are biological markers affected by hormones. Women who smoke or take estrogen are more likely to have gay children. Women who have multiple children are more likely to have a gay child due to their immune system reaction to male hormones. The brain structure of gay men has been shown to be similar to that of women compared to straight men. The increase of synthetic hormones in our bodies due to plastics, hormone treated animals has been shown to have an impact on fetus' in pregnant women.

  Granted, it isn't a crippling birth defect being more along the lines of male pattern baldness than say Downs' Syndrome.

  fulltime student, masturbation is a biological means to help keep a fresh supply of sperm. The desire and pleasure received during sex is also biological to compel the organism to reproduce. Sorry but your arguments are off base.

  anyone read the "fat girl's guide to life"?

  i am reading it right now and finding it pretty interesting.

  it makes me think outside the box a little bit about how much money is spent on products for people to lose weight, and how much money saturates the market and influences so much of the media.. the author's attitude is one i try to have-- exercise, be balanced in eating habits, drink water, take nutrition supplements, and don't obsess over dieting & what the scale says or about other people's judgements toward my weight.. right now, i already know why i am overweight-- i am eating to deal with my bipolar issues.

  The roles have reversed a bit with modern dating. A lot of fat women expect their guys to be in shape. I find it ironic that it is easier to get a date with an in shape woman than one carrying a few extra pounds if you don't have a 6 pack.

  A WTS ran country would look more like Afghanistan under the Taliban... Religious police on the streets enforce their moral code, executions of apostates. A population with little education. The government would order the destruction of ancient religious artifacts like the giant Buddhas the Taliban destroyed.

  here is genesis 3:6 from the nasb translation which is in line with other translations.. 6 when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.. here is genesis 3:6 from the new world translation.. 6 consequently, the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something desirable to the eyes, yes, the tree was pleasing to look at.

  so she began taking of its fruit and eating it.+ afterward, she also gave some to her husband when he was with her, and he began eating it.. the nwt leaves out part of eve's desire to eat the fruit.. "desirable to make one wise".. what is the purpose of altering the translation to leave out this important point?.

  i have hesitated to post anything about my recent encounters with our jw doctor, because i don't really want anyone to insult her or me, for continuing to rely on her for medical care.

  our family doctor is a jehovah's witness.

  we were referred to her by our former bs conductor.

  You do know it is possible for someone to convert to a JW later in life right? My father was in the Air Force and went to college. He became a JW after that. He was an elder as well and sent me to college.

  I'd leave it alone. Any attempt to sow doubt in her is doing exactly what the WTS accuses "apostates" of doing. Better to be respectful of her beliefs and proven the WT wrong about those who no longer believe.
