I'm in, never held status above microphone runner though. I know of 2 guys and their wives who were elders who faded out, hate the org, and might be up for it.

My father who is still a JW is also a Pharmacist and now attends his 3rd different congregation in a different state from the first 2 and likes to talk about all of the anti-psychotics he fills or has filled for fellow JW's from each of the congs including one of the ANNOINTED. Also very many anti-depressants and the occasional plan-b's, talk about awkward.
I remember growing up and watching him "make rounds" after the meetings talking to all of the people he fills scripts for to see how they are doing and to give them professional advice on their side effects. He put on a certain posture and visibly felt very important in those role as most of our cong was uneducated beyond high school. He got addicted to this i believe and is probably what he looks forward to most.

"Universal sovereignty" argument is fallible. I prescribed to it even 9 months ago when I was using that argument on these forums. Also the "free will" argument is even worse. This showcases it's fallacies in a humorous way...

Preterism
by Chris Tann inwhen i started to do my research concerning ttatt, i started to see the scriptures in a different light.
one thing i noticed is that when the epistles talk about the last days, christs presence, the ressurection to heaven; the writers were speaking specifically of their time, not some two thousand years later.
even when jesus speaks of his presence and the kingdom being established, he was talking to his disciples of that time and what they were soon to expect.

"when I die thats it for me. I get depressed thinking about that."
Many times on these forums theists will argue until they are blue in the face and it comes down to this fear of dying without afterlife. Afterlife gives time on earth LESS meaning wheras without it, there is MORE meaning NOW! When I stopped believing in an afterlife, my desire to improve my quality of life and those around me simply exploded to new levels. I have a much better loving connection with my parents. I didn't use to be inclined to pursue hardly anything positive before with a mindset of "well so long as i'm 'good,' I have all of eternity to do whatever I want so whats the rush?"
It's all about mindset Chris. You can choose to look at things pessimistically or not. If you can not shake a mistakenly depressive mindset from thinking about dying without afterlife, then you will most likely dismiss ANY facts that go against God or the Bible so approach this with an open and opptimistic mindset. ALSO, Consider this viewpoint please http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxkqz7-DmsE

WHY are Watchtower leaders OBSCURANTIST and how can we fight them effectively?
by Terry into read and understand this topic you will need to know two things.. following my telling you these two things you'll need to sit and think about them before you react and respond.. ************.
1. understand what obscurantists are and what they do and why .. 2. decide if want to be effective in refraiming your identity (the label given to you) as an ex-jehovah's witness in fighting them.

Is the WBT$ coming to get anyone?!.....No!.....LOL!!..
I believe the analogy was used to emphasize the watchtower as they perusue gaining new members. Yes they are out "to get" more publishers for sure. And Terry was equating Niemöller with unsuspecting householders who have no idea what they are saying "yes" to when allowing bible studies. Perhaps I misinterpreted it. Eitherway, the point is, equipping potential JW housholders with TTATT is just as important as deconverting JW's.

A quick list I made of WT quotes directing sheep NOT to question their (GB) authority:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/271792/1/Dont-Question-GOD-aka-the-governing-body
As to a plan of action. The best way is to appeal to the little "skeptic" in everyone. I believe this is what lead all of us here in the first place isn't it? Give current JW's an easier route and reason to explore. Make them see the URL over and over without having to take that large leap in typing in apostate topics in google and feeling Satan on their shoulders.
I have been itching to run by Kinkos and have them print up several of these:
I live off of the one and only small road that leads in and out of the towns newest kingdom hall and could post those signs along that road at entrance of my neighborhood where 4 or 5 congregations meet. Also post some at the older hall where 4 more congs meet only 10miles from here too. Not sure if I need permission from owner of jwfacts so I PMd him in case.

To Transfuse or Not To Transfuse
by Chris Tann inwhen my son became baptized as a witness at age nine, it worried me that he could now get a no blood card.
i wanted to make sure if blood transfusions were really as disgusting to "jehovah" as i was taught.
i already found out some things about my beliefs that were not true, so it wasn't hard for me to be questionable about this.. i first looked in the reasoning book under blood as to why we don't accept transfusions.

God shouldn't have made med-rare filet mignon taste so damn good. My version of paradise when i believed in it, would have been eating bloody steak everyday with sauté onions, mushrooms cooked in wine and garlic butter.
