  Shadow, please explain to me who is responsible for the starvation going on in Africa at this time? Who is ruling the various nations where war, famine, sickness, aids, etc, is going on throughout the whole of Africa? How many african americans do you know that are making an effort to help these people?

  As mary so politely called to your attention, this topic is about remembering what happened on 911, 2001 to civilians, innocent men woman and children from various backgrounds.

  Terry, various religions has done that to a lot of people from different backgrounds, not just Bobby Fischer. Whatever drove him into what he ended up as does not take away from his ability to marvel the Chess world in his day. At the height of his game he surpassed and amazed all the Grandmasters with his unique style of play even as a child prodigy. Way before religion fried his brain.

  I think of Bobby Fischer who created the best Chess moves against the Grandmasters of Chess that he defeated. His mind is one example of having an original thought, an idea, he did not copy someone else's moves from a book, but rather created more brillant moves that dominated the thinking minds of the other great Chess players. His methods and stlye of play were his own. Many have copied him, including myself.

  Has anyone seen the movie: "Invasion" yet??

  hello all... remember the old movie "invasion of the body snatchers"...haven't seen it in years, and if i understand it correctly, the new movie "invasion" is a modern remake of the film.

  i was wondering if any of you had seen it yet and what you thought of it.

  as i think about it, it kinda reminds me of the borg!

  Psychiatrists

  sometime ago a friend of mind visited several psychiatrists over a five year period.

  he wanted to learn more about himself.

  all he learned is that everybody has problems and that his shrinks had more problems then he did.. the watchtower frowns on the rank and file visiting psychiatrists.

  The Watchtower frowns on the rank and file visiting psychiatrists.

  I have never been to a psychiatrists. Have you, and if so, what has been your experience, if you care to share?

  The more I know, the more I know that I don't know...I could be wrong!

  The more I read Terry's Post's, the more I know I don't know most of what he is talking about...I could be wrong!

  It's a learning experience. Where does all of this knowledge come from that people are posting on such and such a topic?

  We are taught it from others or self taught through an interchange of information. Are the ideas original or passed down?

  From birth to death, we learn, and as such are shaped and changed. This is a good thing...I could be wrong! And that too, is not a bad thing.

  Keep them coming Terry!

  Lady,I read it a couple of years ago and have been directing people's attention to it every chance I get. It's a keeper and will never go out of stlye. It's spot on and anyone with common sense and reasonableness can't help but come to the same conclusions as it's author, Don Cameron. Thanks again Don !

  I'm sure that I don't still think and act like a Jehovah's Witness. I am no longer captive to their way of thinking. The Watchtower Organization, meeting attendance, field service, book studie,.Bible studies, preaching and reaching out for the "Carrot" have long left my thinking mind. There is no "Jehovah" anymore for me.

  when they see a loved one die---what goes thru their brain??.

  when a non jw tells them about their fun filled weekend, what goes thru a witnesses' thoughts?.

  Since their minds are captive to a concept, they think about that concept all the time. That concept keeps them going. Whatever the subject matter under discussion, it is the concept that guides their thinking. It all falls back on the concept that has captured their minds.

  Mulan, she was so young. We are saddened along with you. My sister died at age 29 and mom at age 58, we feel your pain and miss them too! My wife's brothers died at 42 and 51! Life is too, too short. That is a beautiful picture to remember her with.
