I believe that there is no motive. I have come to accept what Don Cameron has explained in his book "Captives of a Concept" Anatomy of an illusion. The Governing Body is captive to a illusionary concept. An illusionary concept that holds all of Jehovah's Witnessses captive. Because of this, they continue to act in accordance with this belief that gradually takes over their discision making process and even their conscience without them realizing it.
So, it is not about motive, it's about what and who molds their thinking. It is the belief that they are God's Sole Organization and have been appointed by Jesus to represent him as his Faithful and Discreet Slave in 1919. Some have broken free from this captivity, this illusionary concept.

Would Jesus have done a better job than Jehovah?
by JH inin the bible, the god of the old testament seems to be so harsh and unforgiving, while jesus seems so nice.... makes me wonder if jesus would have been god almighty, if the world would be a better place today?.

Don't leave out that the nice Jesus would still put you in "HELL". Nothing nice about that! Other than this one point, whoever wrote the New Testament about Jesus, all of which is hearsay, did a good job showing the contrast between Jehovah and Jesus.

What happened to the "Living Wage" vs. the "Minimun Wage". Congress was supposed to vote for the living wage as a standard and do away with the minimum wage. The living wage back then in the 90"s was supposed to be $9.00 an hour vs. $5.00. Now it should be much much higher! Anyone know about this? What is the update on the living wage vs. the minimum wage?

Yes it is old news, however, accepting them back as anointed and part of The Governing Body would not be old not old news. Imagine announcing that two sisters are lovers and are to be accepted by all in the congregation. Now that would be part of The Society's New Plans. Likewise two brothers. Let the civil ceremonies begin starting at the headquarters. I now pronounce you...Wouldn't that be part of The Society's New Plans? Someone in the know told me about this and that it soon will come to be announced at the upcoming international assembly.
