Unequivocally No! Here's how it is with me.I see a post, I read it.I post a topic others read it.The number of readers far outweigh the number of responses. Its a interchange of thoughts and ideas shared by all whether we feel we need to respond or just enjoy the posts. All of us are here for each other in some small way or larger. We impact each other as we share common emotions ,sorrow, tears ,happiness, laughter, songs, jokes, and the various disagreements we express as we are all solidfied in the common goal of freedom to express ourselves on this forum. $64,000.00 question?
by Blueblades inits a two-parter.will minimus ever run out of questions and will jh ever catch up to him?.
side note: i remember an elder given a talk once and he was discussing living forever.his highlight was that living forever means that you would never run out of questions to ask god.why, soon as you got the answer to a question, there would always be the next question.. minumus and jh,i don't mean this in a bad way.both of you ask some meaningful questions and i have enjoyed reading the many different responses to them.i even see you guys passing the watchtowers ,"questions from readers"which i think some are fabricated to keep the rank and file in line as they give their answers to their own questions to allay the real questions we might want to put to them.. keep it going guys.

NICKY,Is It( 1COR.11:26 )"For as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup,you keep proclaiming the death of the Lord until he arrives." The thought being if he arrived in 1914--1919 the memorial should be discontinued?

Question #1:How did you investigate the Watchtower Society before you joined it?Did you read books both for and against the Society to help you judge it accurately?NO!
Question #2:Had you read the Bible in its entirety?NO!
Question #3:If the context of a verse is ignored, people can prove anything they wish from it.To prevent this problem, did you read the Bible passages found in the Watchtower publications in context to make sure they were applied accurately?NO!
Question #4:Were you well acquainted with the teachings of any Bible-believing,gospel-preaching church before you began to study with the witnesses?NO!
Question #5:What was the process that you used to test the Watchtower organization before you joined it?NONE!
Question #6:Have you ever checked the quotations the Society uses from other sources to see whether or not they are taken out of context?NO!
Its no wonder that I been stuck in this organization for over 30yrs.But NOW! I can answer YES! to these six questions. How about you?Blueblades
BTW.If they were to ask these six questions now instead of over 200, before they study with someone, I'm guessing nobody would join the Watchtower Society Organization.

The Next Teaching to Fall
by Blueblades inwhile many have had their hopes dashed concerning the change on this "generation " teaching, there is yet another teaching yet to fall very soon.it must and will fall because it connected to the generation doctrine that has already been changed.. the teaching that could shortly cause the governing body a serious problem and could bring about a major change for the vast majority of the rank and file is "the great tribulation".while this teaching has been put off to the " indefinite future"the gb.continues to have a serious problem with it.if the great tribulation fails to occur reasonably soon, the doctrine concerning the earthly hope for the vast majority of jw's.will have proven to have been false.the' great crowd' are those who will have come out of the great tribulation.according to the society those persons began to be identified as present as early as 1932.so the youngest members are now in their 70's or 80's.. again, the time-line is running out!
and has the potential of adversely affecting hundreds of thousands of other witnesses in the not to distant future,as time passes without the fulfilment of their hopes for a new heavens and a new earth.. also, some time ago, there was a watchtower study article, i don't remember which one it was .it spiritualized, armageddon!
psalm 91,especially verse 7.it said that a thousand will fall at your very side and ten thousand at your right hand, applies to those leaving the org.

MR.SHAKITA,Thanks, along with all that you cited and quoted scripturally add this one Luke 21:8 "DO NOT GO AFTER THEM".So,we should not consider their claims but rather as you have already pointed out when Jesus comes no one will miss it.Of course this is all based on a belief system, requiring the Bible to be the word of God.And as we know there have been strong arguments on both sides concerning doctrines, belief ,the Bible,God,Jesus etc.I'm only arguing from the views the WT.has implanted in me for over 30yrs.I'm still not settled on many issues which I must personally now bring closure to. Hi REALIST! It has nothing to do with special status,it has to do with a "TIME-LINE".Again as I said before," The Great Tribulation" is linked to the "Generation Teaching",that has already fallen. So I'm not making an assumption. The Society already made the connection in the WT.11/1/95,page 17."Eager to see the end of this evil system,(notice they don't say the G.B. or FDS).but rather ,all of Jehovah's people have at times "speculated"about the time when the Great Tribulation will break out.Even tying this(the teaching about the great tribulation) to calculations of what is the lifetime of a generation."
So REALIST,when I say the next teaching to fall is the teaching about the great tribulation it has already been hinted at in the 1995 WT.quoted above. They admit that there is no longer a Time-Line.And they backed off that it was a prophetic teaching on their part but rather it was speculation on the rank and files part. Can You Discern What The Society Is Really Saying?
by minimus inso much of the watchtower is written in "code".
so much of the circuit and district overseers comments are spoken in "code".
for example, you are not told directly that you shouldn't read any other publication but the society's, but you are asked, "how could anyone spiritual ever have the time to keep up with their bible-based reading of all the spiritual food that we must take in, and still have time to read "worldly" books?

Hi MINIMUS! At one of our elder's school meetings with the C.O.He had us write in the side-bar of the Flock Book information pertaining on how to give an answer to anyone with a "CRITICAL EYE".So, the Society is wary of those who have the ability to discern what they are actually saying.
In his book,"In Search of Christen Freedom,"Ray Franz, in chapter 13, Argumentation and Manipulation, on page 436,demonstrates the answer to your question. He discusses15 different ways that you can discern what the Society is really saying, by recognizing common pitfalls of their false argumentation.
Its no wonder that the C.O. uses the phrase, be wary of anyone with a" CRITICAL EYE".or as you noted ,anyone with the ability to use "DISCERNMENT" as to understand what they are really implying, implanting, expecting through the rhetoric used in the written and spoken "CODES".Blueblades
