i haven't seen any radical oddballs, normal oddballs, non oddball bible people lately.
i'm lonely.....and theres been very few ...if any.... and there been no one to argue with and get mad at......what's the deal.
Ok I'll start.Flatulence,gas in the stomach or intestines from certain foods.
Also,windy or empty in speech;pompous;pretentious.
The first is a natural that everyone has at one time or another.
The second is what has been printed and spoken by the Watchtower Society.

i was taking a bath, when the door bell rang.
i got out of the bath tub and went close to the window, and saw an elder go back to his car.
the last visit i had was a few days before christmas, from the co and his wife, while visiting our congregation.
JH,The same thing happened to me and my wife.Then the other night one of the eldes stops by and wants to offer us encouragement.I was out,my wife told them nothing has changed since the last time we talked to them,hard times and etc.
Then the blizzard comes ,and no one ,not one person from the loving elders called to ask if we needed anything.How DISCOURAGING!! BTW.When I was serving I had a snow crew on stand-by to help all those who needed such assistance when bad weather struck.Snow removal ,food,shopping etc.
It seems to have gone by the wayside since I stopped serving.
We just stopped by to encourage you,but,we don't want to do any hard labor.We don't want to leave our comfort zone ,except to say these words to you,we just stopped by to encourage you.

The 1914 Dilemma.Many opinions have been expressed on this board as to what is killing the Society today.I am positive that issues such as the UN scandal,the pedophile issue,etc. are having a negative effect and contributing to a general slackening off and sense of malaise amongst the rank and file.I am also sure that these issues are being glossed over and the loyal rank- and- file will accept the explanations and the gloss that will be used to cover over these things.
There is one teaching though,that like a thread on a woolen jumper,if picked away at,causes the whole garment to fall apart.That is the 1914 teaching.
What a dilemma this must be causing the hierarchy.The last time that the teaching on this was changed,in 1995 with the "new light"on the "generation",many fell away.But here we are seven years later,and still no further new light.And,even if there were to be new changes to this doctrine,we would only see people leaving in droves,especially the under 40s,who are the next generation of potential elders,circuit overseers,etc.
But why is this the big problem for the teaching of Jehovah's Witnesses and likely to be the reason for the gradual demise of the whole organization? Let's have a look at some of the "1914" facts/issues. (to be continued)
coming your way this week at your local kingdom hall is a service meeting part entitled "help at the right time".. this is based on a kingdom ministry article that equates the local elders' "concern" for their flocks with that of the apostle peter's words in his second epistle.
unlike second peter however, the elders' are to be concerned for getting inactive ones into the field ministry.
the whole thrust of the article is to make "a special effort to assist those who are not currently having a share in the preaching work".. this emphasis should not surprise observers who have long claimed that the witnesses preach a salvation based on works, whereas christians proclaim a salvation gained by god's grace alone.
Wife got a call last week from bethelites tuesday evening.They never come out on tuesday evenings.They wanted to talk to me ,encourage me etc.What made them think I needed encouragement?
Then the blizzard came,no one called to see if we needed help.How discouraging!Back to tuesday evening ,it looked like a blitz on the weak and inactive ones! I was not home to repeat the same story over and over to them.
When I served we had a program called snow crew relief.It was to call all the ones who needed help to remove snow ,get salt for ice,food etc prior to the snow falling,not after the storm.
Where is this program now?" Help at the Right Time " as long as it's not physical time consuming hard labor that takes up their time,,just words to get you to "Get Shaking Boss".

For those who did not get a copy of the Free Minds Journal vol.22,no.1 Feb through April 2003,Editor Randall Watters. I recommend it.The article on" The 1914 Dilemma "is an embarrassment and a dilemma to the Society.

if you've never seen the watchtower's dishonesty within this magazine, check my article out.
You demonstrated this simply yet forcefully.John still had to think about it,and yet anyone who can read the full quotes can see the deception of the Society,nothing to think about.
What the Society is doing here is done all the time it's called a one-sided presentation based on a singular premise.Thanks for sharing it.

For example, if one made a vow not to drink alcoholic beverages because it could impair ones judgment when serving as an elder,but now is no longer serving and is out,then the reason for the vow is no longer in effect,right.
Also,
if one vowed to remain single for the sake of the KINGDOM WORK,but now finds out that the Kingdom as taught by the Society is not around the corner,and so wants to marry while still in bloom,then the vow is no longer in effect,right.
What vows have you made thinking the end was here,but,found out it's not and so want to be released from that vow,or,are wondering if that vow is still in effect.
