  The Preaching Work Is A Scam

  i'd like to know what you think of the "all important, life saving preaching work".

  even if this preaching was considered a success, it would not be able to save the billions of people on this earth.

  recently, my mother told me how she believe that jehovah god is patiently keeping the door open, since every year, new ones come into the "truth".

  Beyond what has already been mentioned here,I want to point out that the Society bears a heavy responsibility to the many who have been harmed by this unscriptural teaching.

  The field service is a standard by which the Society uses to measure the spirituality of others in the Congregation.Their love of God,is also measured by the amount of field service they do.

  Appointments to priviledges are based on the field service.Most important is the damage done to those who believe that this preaching is biblically taught and advocated.Damage such as separation from loved ones because of going to prison rather than stop preaching when told to by the authorities.

  Some have even died when preaching in different parts of the earth,including the U.S.A.

  So, it is more than a scam,it is a doctrine that has caused more harm than good.

  this question may not make too much sense.

  if a man creates a computer, using the best parts and software design with the intent of analyzing data accurately and reliably, would he also design it with the ability or freedom to 'crash' or spread viruses to other computers if it chose to?

  if a man trains a dog with the intent of being a family pet, would he also give it the knowledge to kill humans or other animals?

  Also,if the heart of man is treacherous and desperate,if the inclination of man is bad all the time due to imperfection how man be accountable for something that God knows man can't help.

  And,if Satan is let loose to impede man,if the imperfection impedes man,if the environment impedes man,God knowing that in all of this man does not stand a chance in and of himself to do what his flawed condition is unable to do, that is ,be perfect and good.Note man's inhumanity to man all throughout history in God's sight.

  How can God put him through such horrors as sickness,old age,a deterioating painful existence and finally death.I don't have the answer and can't make sense out of any of this from a loving God who claims to be a loving Father.

  Blondie! I can't help but think of the comment that Robert Deniro says to Billy Crystal in the movie Analyze this and Analyze that. "Your Good","Your Good,".In my health care service we have what is called,Good,Better and Best products.They are all good and will be helpful to the patient.

  You however are the "Best""Your Good"and it gets "Better and Better"

  Your time and efforts are not wasted,I always look for your comments on the current WT Study.I also share this with others who are simply amazed at the critical analysis,I give all credit to you.

  Why It Is So Easy To Shun Disfellowshipped Family & Friends

  i believe that jehovah's witnesses have learned through mind-control that a "true" christian must "disown" all family and friends for the sake of the "truth".

  if such disowning means leaving relationships with persons that no longer want to remain in the "truth", then that is the choice that they are making.

  besides, if those that are shunned realize how much love their "brothers and sisters" really have for them, they might come around and get their lives saved after all!........any comments?

  It might seem that way.Mind control does play a role in it.Fear of it happening to you .Putting the blame on the one disfellowedshipped might make it easy to do and accept shunning.

  Your question brings back to my mind the comment made from Steven Hassan's book "RELEASING the BONDS"empowering people to think for themselves.

  "The phenomenon of destructive mind control indoctrination ( my thought,such as shunning ) can turn an intelligent,educated person with a strong family background into a stranger."

  I think some past post's had something to say about this "Shuning of family members"that many secretly do not follow this teaching,which means that they are not completely under the influence of this destructive mind control indoctrination of the Society when it comes between drawing the line of loyalty to the Society or of family members who are loved .

  I myself made this choice not to follow the policy of shunning my own family members and friends.

  As to it being easy for others to follow this policy, I think not,I believe many are quietly hurting inside when they have to follow something that is tearing them apart emotionally inside.

  These are just my thoughts and comments Minimus.

  I am sure that much can be sad about what is written to our readers by the publishers,but,I'll leave that to Ozzie's comments on the book.

  So,this 2nd "Must Read" book for baptism candidates is now a "Must Study" book for the Congregation.

  Thinking Too Much About Death

  recently i have been seeing too much that reminds me of how i must face death in the not too distant future.

  everytime i look at a movie on tv most of the actors that i knew when i was young are dead.

  i was looking at some pictures that my mother left me when she died and most of the people i see are dead, cousins, uncles, aunts, old jw people that i knew growing up.

Me too,I try to push to the back of my mind but it keeps coming to the front.I think of all the years in the Society ( 34 yrs in,trying to fade out ) 60yrs old.Trying to catch up and prepare for the inevitable,never prepared for retirement,you know "You Can Live Forever On a Paradise Earth ".etc.

  the circuit overseer will discuss "helping others to serve jehovah with a delightful soul.

  "interviews will highlight the joy that results from cultivating interest and conducting bible studies with people who want to serve jehovah.. all in attendance will no doubt derive comfort and encouragement from the visiting speaker's first talk,"guarding our hearts in a troubled world".. in the afternoon,the part"extending a helping hand"will consider how we can assist others.what can parents do to shield their children's hearts from wrong influences and help them draw close to jehovah?.

  Hi Shamus! The august KM.Front page article calls the ministry invigorating! The title is " WORK THAT REFRESHES " The word REFRESHING is used SIX times in five pars. The word INVIGORATING three times.
