FastJehu, all of those are from before 2000 making them old light, even apostate information. You should know better!

Sign of apostasy
by Ireneus inelders arranged a sort of informal visit by a more capable elder accompanied by another brother who is more qualified than me from academic background.
their purpose was to reason with me as a last resort to avoid a jc.. during the two-hour discussion, i could make my point clear to them: “i don’t think any one particular religion has the whole truth.
it may be existing as bits and piece in all religions and schools of thought.

My Boyfriend's Family Wants to Meet Mine (My Parent's are JWs) Help!
by LaurenM inso i have been "faded" for approximately 2.5 years.
my parents know i haven't attended a meeting in quite some time, but don't know that i have been dating a guy for about eight months.
we really love each other and his family is super sweet.

To live your life you're going to have to put your happiness above everyone else's. I learned this recently dating an "unbeliever". It didn't matter that I had been extremely irregular before but as soon as I started dating my current boyfriend I became "bad association" and have been shunned by my family?
Are you ready for that possible outcome? Is living on the fence just to have conditional love from your family worth it?
I'm not trying to be harsh, just something I've had to deal with personally very recently.
Don't feel rushed by his family either. If your boyfriend is OK with it just enjoy each other and the time you two get to spend together.

Jhine
JWs are the only religious people i know that would allow being told they are not righteous and just accepting it.

No, they will spin it as persecution and the rank and file will eat it up because they are too afraid to leave

My parents died 15 years ago, both in their early 70’s, so fairly early in their golden years and before the intro to iPads and even the new songs.
They were both confident they would walk through Armageddon. I wonder how they would have felt if they would have survived up until now to see their religion become what it is today.

Manmade rules
by Jrjw ini was talking to someone a few years ago and he said in his congregation they have a rail of white shirts prepared in the cloakroom for if a speaker doesn't have a white shirt on.
it was a rule in their hall that all brothers in the platform must wear white shirts when going talks and if the speaker won't comply when asked to change into the shirt they provide an elder in the congregation will do the talk instead.
i have never known any other halls do it so it must be a rule the elders have made up without gb input.

My favorite rule came direct from the Borg, don't hold your significant others hand during the prayer cause it can be distracting.
A more ridiculous one though, a sister i know was counseled for wearing a thong because her lack of panty line was distracting.

The final straw for me was realizing men thought the could control my relationship with god.

Strange
by Jrjw ina couple of times at the meetings this year we've been told that in the future we might get some strange directions from the society that might not make any sense to us.
then they've said will we show our loyalty to jehovah by still obeying?
seems a rather unusual thing to say.

EverApostate they said in a recent watchtower separation was now allowed if the other spouse was no longer a believer
I’d like to know what scripture they quoted for that though
