It is a sad thing to say however people don't seem to grow without trauma. When we get comfortable we think we have all the answers so why change. Then something bad happens and we question what we know and change our way of thinking. So in my opinion, that is when the bad turns good. If nothing bad happened to us as JW's, would we have left?

I really think we are all creators sons and daughters, hence the OUR father. I believethe bible is good story book, witha lot of true stories not to be made into a religion but a tool to use like a flashlite, jesus, budda, krishna, all enlightened people. Enlightened, only because they walk in light, not the darkness like people that keep walking with no direction. Confusedandalone maybe try a newname "Bewonderedandneveralone" Believe in the poem like footsteps in the sand. I believe we all have a purpose, and it will be found in ourselves and what we leave as our personal legacy, not in any religion or person or group of people outside of ourselves.

The name is not important, my son had 5 names for me by that age. We always find reasons to find someone else wrong, just so we can be right. My belief is when creator spread us to the four corners of earth, it would only be when we found how we are the same that we could become one race...... human. Imagine what the world would be like if every flower was a rose, the only color was red. Only one way to look at everything. The diversness is what makes this world beautiful.
I was brought up a JW, left 25 years ago, and found peace and freedom when I loved everything he created, the truth in all of the religions and spiritual beliefs. We are not perfect, so how can any religion. Maybe the truth is in all of the beliefs, not just one.
As for disaters, we are destroying the earth with the greed man has. Not his fault ours. What if his answer to stopping disaters was to get rid or the destroyers, no animal destroys stuff for nothing. But humans sure do, bigger tv, bigger house, newer car etc.. we are the cancer here, not creator.
Maybe the question should be "how can god let us destroy what he has created ? " what if the animals asked why god is letting us kill them. Why doesnt god stop US?

I dont think creator turned his back on us, I think we did to him. Read over how mad some people are, how much hatred people have. We all have to die, dont know any good way myself. God is judgemental, creator isnt. I think Jesus said it best, our father, not my father in heaven. He tried to tell us that that the choice to be is not ours (I dont recall asking to be born) but the choice to do is. We can live in love or die in hatred.
Free will. Is a bitch. We need to be responsible for every action and thought we have.

Just wanted to say to trevor not to worry about talking to me I can totally understand how you feel and if more people felt like that it would stop the cycle of abuse. The only reason why I wanted to know who you are is to see if we know each other. Blessings for bring it out and letting people know.
I cant understand why nothing happened legally to my mother, cant see that standing by her man was a good thing in this case. If I was with someone who stole, I would be guilty by association, how not here when it went on for almost twenty years. Wonder how her standing is in congregation. Now after the fact my sister wont even talk to me after defending her when no JW would. What a fu**ed situation.
Glad to be free. Stand up people no matter who it is. Help other people stay safe and have the courage to talk. Support people that you know to say something. This is definitely not the work of a loving god to hide it.

I don't know what a new thread means. But I do think more people should hear. I want to thank people that want to be supportive. It has been a lonely life thinking I am the one with the problem. I would like to know who trevor scott is, if possible, and what congregation you were from. Do you know most of my family?
Is this site one from the JW's or public site? Just from curiosity.
I do know he was in guildford when arrested, attending meetings. He even got letters from some saying he was a good man. I am just wondering if they would trust him with their kids. I know most of my brothers wont. Why would people back someone with that background up. The last thing he got to say in court was he forgave us for doing this to him, still doesnt understnd severity of what he did, probably because of lack justice for the victims in the church.

I am a son of louis and was at court as a witness for my sister. He didnt get long enough if you ask me. I think it is sick to think religion back him up and wouldnt help me. My brothers wont help me raise son but will put up 50,000 dollars to try to bail him out. I would like to find canadian lawyer to see if I have legal rights. If anyone knows one I would like a name if possible.
The religion actually kicked my sister out when father got disfellowshipped, back in 70's, what the bleep did she do wrong? And of course they never reported it to police.
There are a few of you with questions I would love to answer. I will try to answer as I see them. I have been out of religion since I found out, 25 years now. Family wont talk to me but he got transferred to local jail so family can talk to him. Ironic aint it.
