  Why Do You No Longer Believe in God?

  i know this question has popped up from time to time but i really would like to know how you guys, those that no longer believe, came to that conclusion?

  was it the wts and all its crap?

  was it something you read?

  All knowledge and facts are beliefs, the rub lies in the justification.

  Knowing that 2+2 = 4 or the the speed of light in a vacuum are objective, observable facts that can be proven.

  Believing in an invisible sky person that loves foreskins, grilling out is not.

  Are you attempting to place those things on equal footing?

  An odd postition for someone who enjoys evidence so much, but hey, philosophy isn't everyone's bag.

  I'm very interested in useful philosophy. Do you have any of that?

  today during the public talk the speaker said that satan was behind the new modern phones, which are like mini computers, so that the world would have easy access to pornography..

  Good point Viv but I was thinking in terms of the camera not being in use until the 1700's but I suppose naughty drawings could have been printed before that

  A printing press isn't a camera or a camera obscura (two different things).

  If he'd have been born in the 1700's he'd have been among those who said that Satan was behind the invention of the printing press because he wanted everyone to have access to printed pornography.

  Or, you know, the 1500's seeing as how the printing press was invented around 1440.
