  i'm starting to believe the bethel higher ups are trolling us.

  the outright contradictions and stuff like overlapping generation is too ridiculous.

  calling out the harold camping when we did the same thing.

  You would have done and indeed probably did the same to uphold the "old light".

  Are you prepared to change your tune in the future when the game changes again or are you confident

  they the 8 men in New York have got the truth now?

  It appears to me they are leading you all on a merry dance to nowhere.

  Why do you pay attention to these mortals(sorry immortals lol).

  By what method do they claim to speak for you?

  Personally I would have to question that if I were reliant on it for my salvation.

  Intelligence, gives us as a species the ability to understand learn, but also how we use that ie methodical intelligence

  Are we seen as intelligent if we use our abilities in a detrimental way?

  Theism has IMO been detrimental to humanity in many ways

  Whereas non belief itself harms no one as there is no agenda for athiests to demand allegiance of.

  And no god to defend(to the death at times)

  As far as higher intelligence somewhere in the vastness of the cosmos , I think is beyond our ken.

  But am I intelligent enough to say , absolutely not but who knows?

  Heavens, ...the conclusion I draw from your explanations is that you are admitting that the JWs since formation from bible students days to present have been guilty of; misunderstanding, miscalculation , misinterpretation.

  That's exactly why many here are ex JWs

  By your own calculations you are reaffirming what we have known for a long time, thank you for your honesty.

  You mention 1975 and that as you put it"sensational and immaturally expressed expectations" did not prevent JWs from further studying and improve understanding of the bible. Then how could anyone be expected to put trust in any current or future understanding by the so called, self appointed 8 men in New York who feed you THEIR TAKE on the bible. Try working it out for yourself and see how far you get?

  It must be remembered all ordinary JWs have no say on the matter(I bet they wished they had in 1975).

  And it must be asked by what method did they the so called FDS come up w this sensational and immaturally expressed opinion re 1975 as well as countless other miscalculations?

  This JW hierarchical method has proved time and time again to be false and misleading. Whether well intended or not.

  Heavens..Isn't HINDSIGHT a wonderful thing, allowing you to have a contemporary understandig of beliefs and instructions which are completely opposed to what was understood by the JWs at the time.

  I know I was there!!

  You may take these views, thats your choice.

  DOT will make his choice I hope by a non biased reasoning.

  He will certainly have kind support on this forum.

  Abe you obviously cannot quote anything jesus said without the mouthpiece of a mere mortal, and we know absolutely how unreliable they can be.

  Time for some serious thinking.

  Remember jesus wrote not a syllable of the bible, dont you think his followers had an agenda?

  It is only their words via multy renditions/translations/additions/subtractions, you are giving credence to.
