apologies if this was discussed earlier.
i tried to search for a similar topic but couldnt find one.. anyway, i am an active jw or is it jehovah's witness?.
recently i noticed a trend, mainly found between teenagers and older techie brothers, of referring to themselves as jws.
They always bang on about emulating 1st cent xians, but when it boils down to it they cant resist the pull and influence of modernism, although they try to wrap it in a cloak of biblical justification for the rank & file who soak it up with relish.
Any xian from the 1st cent wouldn't have a clue what they were all about whether JW or Jehovahs witness, of course the 8 guys in New York would tell them where they are wrong of course!! HYPOCRITS!!!
when jws accept new light they must, by default, accept that what they were teaching was false.
they allow themselves the luxury of error so long as it is in the pursuit of better understanding.. .
you would think this scenario demands that allowance be made for other religions with false teachings, but alas, no.

S&R,...so true , the closed mindset is in complete contrast to scientific discovery , and unselfish resourceful endeaver to gain knowledge and understanding of mankinds origins.
Those who don't want to learn miss the opportunities to be enlightened in contrast to remaining ignorantly in the dark .

Brings to mind back in the early 1960s using the magazines(w, tower awake)to light a bonfire on nov 5 (guy fawks night).I obviously had no respect for them even then.

Heavens g,...It must be remembered concerning JW organisation, the comments on this site are REACTIONARY because the WBTS has by its own confused, contradictory, unintelligent and provably wrong ethos opened itself up to strong contra comments.

I have said in other threads concerning much the same subject, it may be beyond the limits of the make up of our physical brain, to ever comprehend how our physical selves and world were brought into existence(created)but to attach the answer to belief in jealous gods master game plan and all the subsequencies, is presumptuous to the highest degree of ignorance.
Best let science continue with their endeavours in this field, at least they recognise and will try to correct error.

but see what happens if a religious leader becomes selfish, many may copy his behavior.

Do you think you will be sometime in the future if so what are the circumstances which would bring that about.
Do you think god is concerned that he/she/it , is not in your good books right now.

hello everyone it's nice to finally be able to post i had trouble getting emails last month and was never able to sign up.
