Does Christianity Need The Bible

christianity began it's formation without the bible.

the bible, as we know it, is a collection of what were very old texts when they were assembled by christian leaders in the late second and third centuries because they were deemed to be inspired by god.. whether they really were inspired by god or not is now open to debate, but should they prove to not be, it should not undermine christianity as an establishment.. discuss......

I dropped TTATT to some door knockers today

two jws came to my door today and i dropped a few truths bombs on them.

i thought i'd share my account of how the conversation went.. .

i was in the yard doing some weeding when two gentlemen walked through the gate.

A preist , Pastor , or minister of religion that uses the Bible or an i-pad , who in your eyes would command your respect .

i ask this because of an experience over the weekend when two witnesses came to my door , and he tried to use his i-pad to witness to me, which i wasnt intersted in.. my theory is this is going to backfire on them .

the majority of people in christendom , whether they practice it or not have a reverence , if not a deep respect for the written word , the bible , as a holy book.

a sacred book.. i dont beleive a householder who is a christian is going to be impressed by someone who quotes scriptures from an i-pad.. religous books have been considered sacred for centuries , their is an awe about them .

The bible is a construct of many men from different time zones, perspectives, cultures.

The internet is fundementaly the construct of one great mind.He must have been Iinspired by the holy spirit in order for the good news to be preached in all the earth as jesus commanded

Its fast and reliable, which points to the urgency of the getting the good news of the kingdom which is very close now to all corners of the earth.

The satellites on which they rely where there is no hard connection are also inspired as they are a conduit for their operation in the darkest corners of the earth.

My only wish is it could help me contact the tooth fairy who has failed to visit me for many years.

That holy spirit is doing me no favours...BOO HOO !!!

A Time to Heal.....even when we caused the wound

1991 was the last full year i was an active jw.

when i formally resigned in september 1992 my now ex-wife had already pretty much took all of the bound volumes and other society literature.. .

the only thing i was left with was a few copies of the nwt and the 1991 bound volumes the watchtower and awake!

The JWs would have no hesitation in involving the worldly authorities( police etc) if their right to religious freedom was aggressively challenged.

Yet they hide in the murky shadows regarding child abuse, as pointed out alteady ;IT IS A CRIME!!!

HYPOCRITS!! What about the fundemental rights and freedoms of justice for an innocent child.!!

Jesus was a False Prophet - But was he deluded or deceitful?

any objective reading of the gospels makes it plain that jesus believed his parousia would happen within the lifetime of his generation.. his followers believed in his imminent return until the day of their deaths.. his false prophecy damaged the lives of his disciples in a similar way to that done by the lies of modern cults like the watchtower.

peter and others walked out on their wives, children and businesses to follow him around palestine.

jesus taught them to put their families and other normal concerns in second place to their task of spreading his message - which turned out to be false.. the question is what he was up to?.

2+2=4,4objects fit into a space made specifically for those objects.If you make 5 objects fit into that space , means you have distorted the accommodating space to make them fit. That distortion in GB WBTS JW speak equals troof , didn't you know!!!

Pushing the JW.ORG

i had not realized that they were really pushing their site.

this was at our farmers market, although they were not officially in the market area but off the side on the sidewalk.. .

Is not the Internet a vehicle for the distribution of information?Was it inspired by gods holy spirit? Does its use involve criminal activity; including unlawful selling of narcotics, scams, pornography, promotion of all forms of religious doctrine/information to mention but a few..

JWs ask yourself this question;.If you knew for certain a vehicle ie motor car or bus was being used for illegal activity(even partly) would you accept a ride/lift on it to get to your field service activity?

Do you think jehovah would approve?

Why then would he approve the use of the internet which is jam packed full of information not approved of by scripture.

By association the WBTS organisation is aligning itself with this medium

Remember by using the internet there is always the risk of being influenced by material not approved by jehovah especially for those who have an inquisitive mind and perhaps spiritually weak therefore there is a risk of satanic influence to them unless you believe satan does not use the Internet also.

You would therefore have to be certain that satan has not engineered this to mislead many.

How sure are you .

The message has always been; STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE UNCLEAN THING INCLUDING THE U.N.WHO ALSO USE THE INTERNET!!!

Kate ,..I note you say "keep her stable in her religious outlook", is that not what the JWs have been doing by their interpretation of religious out look?

Would you therefore mean you would keep her stable by seeing things as you perceive them?

My advice for what its worth would be to free herself from the deluded non...sense which has brought her to

the position she now finds herself in. As always, best wishes to you both
