HEY Perry when you say "god said let there be light", don't you mean;. whoever was the author of the book of genesis said god said?.. You surely can't trust an imperfect man to get it right . After all didn't a supposedly perfect man get it all wrong even although he had everything going for him, perfect wife, perfect garden, plenty food,dominion over everything. You cant trust a perfect man, so why think an imperfect mans words[genesis] are reliable. If you say because of faith IMO you are insulting your intelligence. peace be with you.

According to my brother an elder his take on it was that although the U.N. can be seen as the image of the wild beast it is also a part of the wild beast as it foms a significant part of the worlds political powers which it definately does so there really is no ambiguity about it the U.N. can definately be described as part of the wild beast .its all bullshit to me anyway Just my 2cts worth

lovely grub .I recommend STORNOWAY black pudding. By the way my sis who is jw just about freaks if i eat some in her company [outside cafe]. I say its only food probably from the same animal as your sausage which will contain a certain amount of blood. She reckons i am disrespecting her . I always just say "i am not encouraging you to eat it" LOL.

OH yes they did mention the U.N. by name and illustration in their earlier literature as or at least, part of the wild beast. Anyhow how hypocritical of the j dubs if they determine this investigation by the U.N. into child abuse concerning the catholic church ie [handling of] as the wild beast U.N. turning on the harlot christendom instead of seeing it as it actually is PROTECTION of innocent children. Of course we all know the jw society's record on that!!! HYPOCRITES!!!!!

Hi all ,just a thought , if Satan put a doubt in eves mind who at that time was"perfect "ie is without sin, then who put the doubt in Satan's mind or conciousness if you like after all wasn't he created as a perfect angel? Seems to me it could only have been his creator . Does that not create a circle of thought which can't be squared? Just a thought!!

Hi noontide I relate to your situation also. For me I feel no love whatsoever for my jw father although I do "feel" love for the rest of my jw family is when I think of my father in terms of feeling there is nothing there. I put this down to his inability to love that is he has never shown proper love but always as a sense of duty usually when other people are around. This may come across as unusual to some but my brother who is an elder has the same feeling about it as me . while in conversation about it many years ago his wife's jaw almost hit the table when he let known his feelings about it! Currently my father has shunned me from his home where my jw mom now in her 80s has dementia and other health problems. She cherished my visits and the rest of my jw family have no problem with me visiting my mom inc' my brother the elder work that one out? So I conclude him shunning me is more to do with his inability to love , even the elders in his congregation don't agree with him . It just goes to show how this whacked out religion affects peoples minds . For anyone reading this who is still associated with this mob steer well clear if you want to retain your sanity!!

The Gall & Hypocrisy!!
by Simon Morley injust got a call from my daughter that she got word that the jw honeywagon (literature stand) has set up in the university she teaches at.
one (and there are many) of the reasons we left was due to the stance on higher education, she was persecuted by the elders for attending the very university they are now set up in.
my daughter eventually got a masters degree overseas and now teaches at the same unversity, is self sufficent and will not have to eke out some pittance of a living while fighting a very delbilitating health condition.

STEVE 2 . Your correct they don't seem to be looking for verbal contact .I approached one a couple of wks ago and looked at the two guys and said,"why did the organisation join the united nations?.. They appeared quite bewildered and i noticed the females 3 of them quickly turned away in a huddle. Anyway a discussion followed in which they were shaking their heads in the negative so i said check it out for yourselves . I advised against the intrernet route but said write to the U.N. and the W.B.T.S for yourselves. I only stuck to that subject,so they said come back next week for a further discussion which i did but they were not present at the time i arrived although another guy was, he was the one who told me he didn't think the JWs had 100% truth i spoke about this in another thread r.e. publication street carts. Anyway i hope to meet up with the other 2 guys to see what they have to say r.e. the U.N. fiasco. Oh i just remembered just after i initially asked the question about the U.N. almost immediateley one guy muttered to the other "apostate" even although i had not mentioned a word about scripture!!
