Matthew 1:17 & 42 Generations
by campaign of hate inif we are to look at matthew 1:17, looks like there were 42 generations from abraham to jesus.. if we take 1948 bce (abraham's birth) and we take it to jesus baptisim (29 ce) we get to 1,977 years.. so lets divide 1977 years by 42 (the amount of generations), we get to around 47 years for one generation.. 1 generation = 47 years.. 1 generation + an overlapping generation (1 generation more) = 94 years.. this is all in the first chapter of the new testament..... comments welcome.....

The Faithfull and discreet slave aka the governing body have given the domestics the food at the proper time from jehovahs table. They alone are privy to what jesus meant when he referred to ' the generation ' . Any other calculation is spurious and futile.
Yield and obey !!

Are we heading for III World War?
by abiather inthe leaders of russia, germany, france and ukraine are slated to meet in minsk (the belarusian capital) tomorrow to discuss a ukrainian peace plan!
some countries such as hollande believe there is going to be a total war.
when they met last year in the same place, they had put forward a peace plan (a ceasefire, withdrawal of artillery, prisoner exchanges and other concessions) that were never fully implemented!

Abiather... the correlation with the Cuban missile crisis and present discussion is ...world powers at loggerheads. Are you deliberately missing the point? Are you now saying WW lll is inevitable? Forbid that such a conflict should occur, and with human precedent we can never say never, it will have nothing to do with ancient people, but all to do with power , ideology and greed. Your insistance on prophetic foreknowledge imo only satisfies your delusive ego. -

The machinations of war have zilch to do with ancient writings. The same talk and expectant excitement circulated during the Kennedy / Cuba missile crisis, the buzz was jehovah will step in, result; no world war lll and no sign of jehovah. The situation was negotiated and calmed by the human means.... no woo woo!!
The current ongoing situation will have an outcome, we all can only hope it's positive . The certainty is whatever it is ,it will be down to men who have the power and means. Ancient texts taken as prophecy by those who give creedence to such , are fanciful nonsense with no bearing on the outcome . To make a correlation imo is senseless.

New Apostate: Tempest in a Teacup
by Tempest in a Teacup infirst post on here.
i've been lurking for 3-4 years and i mean i've been a mega lurker, doing marathon reading sessions for months or weeks.. sometimes i proceed by researching specific topics, or posters; other times just reading current discussions.
i'm particularly fond of "old" post, i.e 10-12-15 years ago.. i have laughed, smiled, got mad, cried etc, just reading some threads here.. as you can see i suffer from some kind of "accute lurkitis".

Thanks for posting..Initial thoughts ;...lack of kh's (bricks and mortar )is restricting growth....In order to worship jehovah they need more kh's (bricks and mortar)?
Jehovah has provided direction to organise a master plan.
Be ready to obey,be re-adjusted and yield!! Be loyal and submit to direction.
The need for this expansion (building of new kh's etc ) is a fulfillment of prophecy...wow and that's just the start of the video !!

My take on this interview is that Reza Aslan is spouting the age old line of ...'all roads lead to god ' he knows and admits there is no proof, rather its down to a choice based on ignorance.....ignore the holy books and just believe !!what a COP OUT!!
Oh I almost forgot he has a book to sell.

Christian missionary whinges about the prosperity of Kenya
by cofty injessica tidwell arrived in nairobi ready to heroically preach the gospel to destitute, half-naked peasants, living in mud huts and covered in "bug bites".. when she discovered that nairobi was in fact a prosperous, modern city with people in expensive clothes buying food and electronic goods in shopping malls, she was dejected and said so in her missionary blog.. the comments section below her blog entry is well worth a read.... here is bob marley's take on self-centred western christian missionaries.. "we're going to chase those crazy baldheads out of town".

She obviously neglected to research and instead relied on her preconceptions, typical of those encapsulated by theistic indoctrination.

The last refuge of a cult
by undercover inthe wts struggles to survive in the 21st century, what with the internet, social media, instant communication, instant video, instant music, instant porn, er, not that i'd know anything about that last one... but anyhoo.... as they struggle to keep the young ones indoctrinated, they've finally realized that sitting in wt meetings four days a week, and knocking on doors at least once a week is not appealing to millennials, and with all the new technology at their fingertips, it doesn't take but a couple of clicks of a mouse to find enough disturbing info on the wts to encourage them to fade away.. so what to do?
well, if you can't beat em, join em.
after years of demonizing the internet, televangelists, showboating religious leaders, and discouraging anything that could lead a person to question their authority, they finally figured out they can't beat em.

Please delete..' no part of this world ' and insert..' we are joining in '. Please amend all previous reasoning ...failure to comply does not please jehovah as represented by your loving brothers the governing body (faithful and discreet slave).
PS..the example set by our singing literature cart should be an inspiration to all.
