End of the world—How and When—explained scientifically!
by abiather inend of the worldhow and whenexplained scientifically!.
problem with humans is that they dont learn from mistakes.
their greed has already spoiled air and water, and brought global warming which would ultimately sink most of the inhabited earth!.

Abiather.. do you find it difficult to attribute good over bad as a result of good, moralistic people , over bad, evil people as opposed to divine / demonic? -

Abiather..." good sense prevailed over the king "..No good sense would have been to deal with the other creatures which ate the crop so that his subjects would benefit from the crop. By returning the sparrows he risks famine for his subjects..outcome?...sparrows survive humans starve! Is that gods nature?

Re the sparrows....The kings mistake was not understanding the principles of food chain, had he consulted the farmers their observation may have educated him. That he brought the sparrows back only only reestablished the status quo.
His acknowledgement of god is really two fold on the one hand ..his balance of nature is correct. On the other..I'll just have to put up with the returned sparrows eating the wheat ,caterpillars and locusts! Result... his subjects had little wheat. Silly king relying on god me thinks.

How many JWs really believe the end will come "soon"?
by BU2B inthis topic has been on my mind lately.
i have been looking around at jws and wondering how many truly believe the end is as near as they are told.
from my personal experience, i know that my parents fully believe the end is imminent and may come any time now.

I have just read a ' thinking of you ' card sent by older jw friends to my mum at her care home. They impart to her sentiments about temporary nature of her failing health which will return to youthfulNess in the New system which they state as " we know will be very soon ". My mum found obvious comfort from these words. I could not say anything other than...isn't that lovely mum...she smiled back happy to hear me say that. Perhaps the senders of the card do believe the end is soon or just know those sentiments would comfort my mum. -

Tower of Babel—unlikely to be a true account!
by abiather inwhen his children want to construct a tower that reaches to the heavens, heavenly father is unlikely to respond, saying: nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.
(gen 11:6, 7).

I would conclude that god did not confuse the language due to the ludicrous idea that such a concept as god exists. However the concept of such a being existing is the CAUSE of much confusion regardless of what language you speak.
Linguistics gives a more accurate account.

NAILING DOWN the fraud of John 1:1 by demonstration
by TerryWalstrom incall me crazy, but i love to watch seminary classes when sharp teachers are in charge of the instruction.. in the following video, the teacher really nails jehovah's witnesses on john 1:1 with utter simplicity.. begin at 1 hour and 20 minutes in.. i've never seen or heard of this before.. .

Each will interpret and reason according to their own bias...The relevancy of any scriptural meaning convoluted from the ' prima facie ' serves only to bolster dogma.
Why the writings and subsequent workings (physical and interpretation )of ancient and NOT original manuscript exites argument to the point of division amongst modern people who can clearly see the harmful consequences throughout history of such division is perplexing, given that our evidential and tangible world is imo by far more wonderful and worthy of our precious time.

Rationality could be found in Scriptures!
by abiather inthough religions have done enough harm to mankind, it often has to do with the exclusive attitude most of them developed misinterpreting the scriptures.
thus scriptures were blamed for all the misdeeds of religions.
this was precipitated by certain verses in scriptures which are obviously interpolated by those with vexed interest..

The fact that anyone NEEDS a reason to find rational in ancient biblical scripture is where the real issue lies! -

Matthew 1:17 & 42 Generations
by campaign of hate inif we are to look at matthew 1:17, looks like there were 42 generations from abraham to jesus.. if we take 1948 bce (abraham's birth) and we take it to jesus baptisim (29 ce) we get to 1,977 years.. so lets divide 1977 years by 42 (the amount of generations), we get to around 47 years for one generation.. 1 generation = 47 years.. 1 generation + an overlapping generation (1 generation more) = 94 years.. this is all in the first chapter of the new testament..... comments welcome.....

The Faithfull and discreet slave aka the governing body have given the domestics the food at the proper time from jehovahs table. They alone are privy to what jesus meant when he referred to ' the generation ' . Any other calculation is spurious and futile.
Yield and obey !!
