so i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.

i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.

i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.

this is my first post to this site, im pale.emperor's brother:).

first of all, i've left being a jw in june.

since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.

Fake News By Jehovah’s Witnesses 🐑

much has been said about “fake news”.

regarding the witnesses, they would always ask, “ did you hear the latest”?.

since the witnesses claim to have the “truth”, can you express anything that turned out to be truly “fake news”?

I was informed by an elder while cart unwitnessing that three congregations in the east Kilbride region nr Glasgow are merging to form two, I have no details of the fate of the disused k'hall.

well how the devil is everyone?

i have not been here for a long time........totally lost track of what is going on in jw land, apart from the little bits i hear from family members still in.

(they say everything is swell and that armageddon is just round the corner).... :).was hearing that anniesland congregation in glasgow has been (or is about to be) disbanded.

It's always interesting that although this forum operates internationally certain statements bring the focus close to home unexpectedly and rekindle memories... I also remember the greenlees and believe they owned a few footwear stores. Kilbirnie ( actually in Glengarnock) k'hall is now a cafe/bistro and imo serves the community better. Does anyone remember Hay and Henry wholesalers who employed a lot of jws? In Glasgow and Paisley?

I am an atheist... To the extent of the limitations of my reasoning power. Outwith the scope of the human brain well who knows? Does that make me agnostic /atheist. There's a lot of explanations about the spark of life which science endeavours to discover, if they evidentially discover 'god' (whatever form) then the ball game changes..but I'm not holding my breath.
