DirectTV is available in many countries, sometimes under different brands. Even then, the distribution network and the satellite feeds are not always part of the same company. Canada may turn a bit more difficult because of location. TV sats are geostationary, which means they fly over the equator line. The further you go north or south, the weaker the signal gets, to the point where service becomes increasingly difficult. Other than that, there is not much of a geographical limitation or border that can dictate wether the service is accessible. -

In my case there are two days that can not be compared and both stand at the bests and that is the day my children were born. Never have I felt what I felt in every one of those days.
As far as the worst, is the first time my wife and I had an argument over this bullshit cult. Thankfully it seems to have subsided over the past 2 years but that first day was a nightmare that lasted all day. Even thought the actual argument only took about 2 hours.

Ok, I have my money on what Cappytan said. Since we are all speculating here. And I will give a background as to why is possible.
JW Broadcasting was a pilot. Pilot is over and is now permanent. Meaning that in order to reach everyone they need to become the next Netflix. Not economically possible if you are not charging a service fee. Even netflix manages to do this but is not easy. Their network had to be engineered over years, just to support the streaming part, let alone producing the content. I know, I am about to get a Netflix appliance in my network to save streaming costs and I usually talk Netflix engineers at network conferences.
Reaching a household in this fashion, not only will mean a huge infrastructure investment but also means you have to push the viewer to want it so bad they are willing, not just to buy a device, but also learn how to use it. Not everyone is up to speed with technology, especially in JW land and not everyone around the world can get the tech or cheap internet to watch it.
If they manage to put it on the air, chances are the audience will probably increase almost immediately. I know my mother in law would probably turn that channel on all day long. Good thing I don't have cable. Besides this, DirectTV and Dish have other programs for selling. As an internet provider, if you want to offer triple play service (Data, voice and video) but your network can not support the video portion (IPTV), DirectTV and I believe DISH too, offer a partnership program. You do the sales and billing, they do the support and you collect a portion of the revenue. Sounds like something the WT would want? I know my employer is considering getting into that program. Not difficult at all. Imagine the next letter to the congregations? Buy DirectTV at a discount, get JW live! What a blessing from Jehovah! you can help the world wide work while watching your favorite TV shows !!
And if the channel is on DTV... are you not able to stream it to any of your devices? Not sure because I do not have their service. I cut the cord a long time ago. But if so, what better way to off load your network than to have DTV do it for you?

Being a world wide religion, they do not have to put a whole lot of content. They can just re run whatever they have. Different languages and different content based on location. I used to toy with FTA TV and I've seen some middle eastern channel (talk about indoctrination) where the same old man talks all day in the same channel, 24/7.
They make it sound so huge. I work for an internet company and we have our own TV studio. It only took 5 people to put it together. Now if you count all the "servants" that bring coffee for the GB and fan air on them.

He probably wowed everyone with the IPTV lingo. 20 years from now they will say they brought IPTV to the world.
Cap, having IPTV would make it very easy for them to beam the feed to a satellite. You can begin to appreciate how much they needed that deal with QCS Telecom.

We are celebrating b-day tonight!
by StarTrekAngel innot that we have not done it before, but the event would come about out a mutual understanding.
never a word or any more than just "we are going out to dinner".
the news this time is that my wife, out of her own initiative, suggested this morning that we should go out and celebrate our daughters b-day.

LOL. Not only we had ice cream, it was an ice cream cake!. It actually went better than I thought. My wife even chastised my older daughter for not having wished her sister her happy bday. Totally unexpected.
On top of that, we are going to pokemon fest this weekend at a local convention center

i feel more confused than ever
by BlackWolf inwell i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.
my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.
i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

Blackwolf, don't forget your parents are just as much of a victim of this cult as you were. Have some pitty for them. Even if you don't believe, take the objective stand and act from the perspective of someone who would, then you can slowly attempt to prove them that even then they are taking the wrong approach. Is true, you need evidence to believe in God and even the bible shows that. Don't tell them that so directly. See their answers, the think the evidence is all around them. Do some reading, take them to the bible and show them that the "type" of evidence required is not the same. Show them that almost every character in the bible has at some point demanded proof from God. I don't have much more time to type now but if you want some pointers, PM me. There is plenty of evidence in the bible that there is nothing wrong with demanding that God shows himself for what he supposedly is. There is evidence that in fact, with more digging off course, that no only God wants you to test him but that he does indeed test his followers to see if they themselves are worthy of trust from God. -

Take the Kingdom back to Mexico!
by John Aquila inif donald trump wins the presidency, about 90% of the jws in my area will have to go back to mexico.
the watchtower will be having a fire sale on kingdom halls.
if trump became president and he followed through on his policy of sending back undocumented immigrants, would that affect the jws publisher numbers big time in the united states?

Well, yes, if we want to take a legalistic approach, then by all means even the WTBTS is right in what it says. i don't think you can put illegal immigration in the same "crime" category as anything else. Especially not when you reap the benefits of such status. Don't be fooled. Half of the people that work at hotels, cleaning your room, may appear legal in the HR paperwork, but they are most likely not. -

Because not even the latter is true. They are not rejects of society. I know more illegals immigrants than I know legal ones and I don't know a single one of them who has turned a criminal. In the other hand, their relatives, the ones they came to meet here, are in prison (all legal by birth by the way). Mr Trump needs to stop hating. I am not Mexican. No, nowhere even near. I am hispanic by language but not Mexican. My wife, a Mexican-American, has worked in the fields since age 12, right along with all those illegals that Mr Trump alleges to. No one was ever raped or killed. They work hard and is because of them that we can enjoy a lot of the things we enjoy today at the prices we enjoy. They are hard working family loving individuals and some americans have a lot to learn from them. When was the last time you saw a hispanic asking for a handout at a stop light? May be selling stuff, but certainly not asking for money.
Most of those that are criminal, have most likely come escaping prosecution or as part of their shady business. Happens all the time and they are a minority in comparison.

On top of that, she said so in from of my mother in law, which denied attending the celebration under the excuse that she did not feel like eating restaurant food. May be my wife is more awake than I thought... time will tell.
