They prepared well a few years ago by liquidating the protecting their assets via legal vieils. Unfortunately, they will remain solvent. Remember they do not have to pay lawyers and fees, their labor is free like all the other volunteers. Yes, 'Religon is a snare and a racket".

Will Child Molestation Lawsuits Against The Watchtower Corporation Make It Claim Bankruptcy?
by frankiespeakin inwe all know sales are dropping in money recieved from printing literature and that it must have been a money drain for quite some time now at least from the time they went to a completely free literature offer to avoid paying ceaser's things to ceaser, so that now the next big finacial move is thru real estate flipping and capitalizing of the jw work force thru slave labor working conditions.. could these lawsuits bring them to the breaking point finacially i know there are a lot of nay sayers among us, but what say you and what is your gut feeling on this one?.

Why Is Alcoholism Deeply Embeded In JW Culture?
by RottenRiley inwe get plenty of company men passing through our circuit, often filled with misinformation and lugging around a suitcase of guilt, they bring more guilt to the weak while praising the braggart pioneers and slapping the "righteous over much" elders.
why are the wrong people getting praise in this distorted community?
i know for a fact many of the elders i served with have issues with alcoholism, when "brother guilt" brought his emotional hurricane through our circuit, i had the chance to eat and help pay for his "seven shots of tequila", both him and his wife were not immune to over-indulgences.

I have full custody. Father visitation rights only every other weekend. So to play sports consistently every weekend is not possible.

Hello all! My ex is an active witness. I've been endeavoring to socialize my child ad best as possible. He loves sports in school, but has been intimidated by his father that after school activities are evil. When I have signed him up, he makes excuses why he can't play. If anyone has any suggestions on how to handle this, I'd really appreciate it.
PS I think I should add is that the reason for my concern, is that very shortly he will be too old for after school care. Shortly he will be on his own after school. I dont want him just hanging around with other kids getting into trouble. It would be better if he was in a structured environment. We are still working on making friends that are not Jws

Elder and CO just dropped by....
by El_Guapo ini haven't been to a meeting in over a year, and as you know as soon as you stop attending meetings/fieldservice the "conditional" love becomes more apperant.
the coordinating elder starts off by saying how much he loves and misses me, etc.
i ask him, when was the last time you called or texted me?

My Son has had two very big University interviews
by CaptainSchmideo inone for mit last month, and one for princeton tonight.. if i told this to people at my old hall, i am sure the reaction would be the same as if i broke a big, noisy windblast in front of them.. but i have to brag about it to someone, so, i will do it here.. .
we will not know anything about whether he is going to be accepted for a couple of months yet, but, as they say, this $%^# just got real!.

Rotary, Lions Club & Kiwanis, etc
by 4thgen inlike so many have said on this site, it is hard to begin again and make new friends.
this has been a real challenge for me.
i recently joined a local rotary club and have become acquainted with some very dedicated business people (some retired), wanting to be of service to others.

NewYork44M. you made me laugh. Yep, so many jdubs think that everything is evil unless it's sanctioned by the big 8. Actually, it took me a few months toactually go to my first meeting. I was so scared to be with wordly people in a 'club' atmosphere. Keeping an open mind is so hard, after you've been indoctinated that all worldlies are bad. Well, you can tell your father, that I didn't see any child sacrifice while we were teaching reading or passing out the dictionaries. Maybe we will do the child sacrificing at the food pantry! I'll keep you posted as time progresses.
BTW: I like your comments on the site, NewYork44m.

Like so many have said on this site, it is hard to begin again and make new friends. This has been a real challenge for me. I recently joined a local Rotary Club and have become acquainted with some very dedicated business people (some retired), wanting to be of service to others. It has been fun and the people have been great. In the past few months I have been involved in teaching reading in a school to disadvantaged kids, a dictonary drive to the local children, collecting school supplies and currently involved in a canned food drive for the food pantry.
One of the things I cherished about being a Witness was the world-wide brotherhood, along with the singleness of purpose. The Rotary is such an organization. Like congregations, each club has their own personality, so you may need to look around for a good fit. I'm sure it's not for everybody, but it may be good for someone who is looking for good associates, while helping others as a part of a group in humanitarian efforts. If you have any questions about Rotary, please feel free to PM me.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
I imagine the Lions Club, Kiwanis and other civic minded organizations may be similar.
May you find peace,

What about the word "love"?
Certainly if we are to LOVE Jehovah with our whole heart soul and mind and LOVE our neightbor as ourselves, it would be right up there in the count...Not
that I actually BELIEVE that it would be, but it SHOULD.
