Kingdom halls needed in the Caribbean?They recently sold off the beautiful Branch in the Bahamas. Where did that cash go?! As a matter of fact, most of the halls in the back county were nothing more than glorified shacks. (It fit in with the surroundings, actually better) The assembly hall in jamaica was open air with benches. Maybe this is the spin.....construct lovely high end buildings in resort areas with free labor, then sell them off OR convert to "Bethel Traing Facilities" AKA vacation spots for the Borg...
last saturday i sat through the one day assembly and i waited for the anticipated accounts report.
for one day the costs were $10,000.
even my wife questioned why the costs are so high and why don't they give a break down on the costs?

Idiot? No. My Great-great grandmother left the Catholic religion because of the stance they took on warfare. She knew from the Bible that killing was wrong and stood up for what she knew to be right. It was challenging to stand up against the Catholics back in the early 40’s. I have to say that I admire her choice and applaud her courage. It certainly was a different world back then.
Only through the passage of time, have we seen that the predictions are false. Today we have the internet and with a little bit of effort can pull back the curtain and see the reality of the organization. Idiots? No. Ignorant of the facts? Yes.
As for myself, yes I think I was an idiot. It took me a few years to finally accept TTATT.
I got a migraine and became sick to my stomach and vomited. I was a classic example of cognitive dissonance in action. It took me many months to accept the facts.
the last talk at the assembly made an interesting statement, "we can show faith by following direction if we're asked to move to another kingdom hall for better use of dedicated christian funds".
this statement has everyone talking.
i spoke to multiple individuals and they heard the same thing at different assembly's.. i know they have been "evaluating" all kingdom halls the last year or two.
has anyone else noticed how alarm bells go off inside a jw mind as soon as they hear someone that "is out" refer to the leaders of this org as "watchtower"?
i've chatted with a few friends now about my doubts and each and every time i've started using phrases such as "watchtower said this" or "watchtower did that", i can almost see their heads about to explode in anger, as if they've just realized they are talking to the lucifer himself.
some have even interrupted and corrected me by reminding me that it's not "watchtower", it's "god's organization".
i'm not sure if anyone is keeping track, but as of today, the wtbts has spent $40,000.00 usd to avoid releasing sensitive documents to the superior authorities.
that's $40,000.00 usd of "dedicated funds.
