when my dad died on november 9th none of my jw family turned to comfort my mother, no phone calls no cards no words of comfort.
its over a month now and still they havent made any contact.
it doesnt really matter since they are all jws on my moms side but dads side of the family are catholic so they were all there to give the strength needed to cope.

so many of us on this forum have criticised the watchtower society for their obscene blood transfusion/fractions policies.
quite right too.. it begs the question though; what are you doing about blood now that you have a more tolerant and informed perspective?
it's a rhetorical question.
Yes, I donated for the first time a couple of months ago. I wanted to do something to really help save a life. It felt much better than going out in service ever did. Besides, donating time in service never saves anyones life.

Dear ((( Sentinel ))),

i just came upon a very interesting article, appearing in the atlantic monthly, may 2003, titled let it be, by jonathan rauch, correspondent.
the first introductory statement reads: the greatest development in modern religion is not a religion at allits an attitude best described as apatheism.
this immediately caught my attention.
Sentinel,
I sent you a pm.

Sentinel,
I read the whole article and found it very interesting.
As for the Lennon bashing, it isn't the first time. I personally don't care if those doing the bashing like
him or the other Beatles etc.or not. I do, and that's all that matters to me. I'm not going to talk about what I think about the Beatles or John Lennon. I had to explain too much of my private life when I was in the Borg.
I'm going to "give peace a chance".
Love, Prudence
P.S. Merry Christmas
