AnointedJW.org a group claiming to be some of the JW annointed, send letters to the org. frequently. I don't believe they have any impact, except give the org. more insight on how to cover themselves. Here is a list of all their letters.

Getting information on the WTBTS's policies on pedophiles, shunning, disfellowshiping, previous court cases, and false predictions of the end, to the media will hurt them, and forewarn further victims.

My sister, Grandmajones, suggested a Facebook page. Nothing spreads faster than social media.

Facebook will reach only those brave enough to read it.

Those who do will already be mentaly on the way out or staunch apologists wanting to do battle. The media wont give a crap. Those who are not JWs probably wont even find it.

The key is the media but really, they have been given enough bones but they aint interested in even gnawing on them.

Change in the Watchtower will have to come from within, not from outside. Having laws try to change them will only lead to them creating new ways to skirt them. Don't forget, this is a religion that see's itself as above the law, and thinks it has a divine mandate to be like that.

While I sympathize with Aussie Oz,first post , a concentrated campaign against the society will not make one iota of difference to the hardcore witnesses, however it may very well be a great deterence for any who are newly interested or newly contacted , new studies etc.or just making the general public aware it`s a crackpot religion.

BTTT. Isn't it better to do something that might make a difference instead of do nothing and never make a difference? Why wait on Jehovah? If not now when?

No one can predict what will help a JW awaken. Maybe a JW reading this thread will start to awaken, because this thread shows that there are other people, who care about JWs more than the WTBTS.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

the original goal was two fold. raise awareness. offer a therapeutic outlet to those still hurting by the wts.

but awareness is the biggest part. the media falls flat because a handful of letters come in every year asking for someone to investigate one or two things the wts does. the society dismisses them as disgruntled ex members and thats usually the end of it.

    we ask for nothing.

we tell the media our individual stories. we coordinate like we need to and fill the mailboxes of major and minor outlets. we dont hit every major outlet because it wears the message thin. we dont hit every minor outlet because it wears the message thin.

we do this right this time.

candace conti was one woman with a story and she took out a chunk of the wts. she went for their name and wound up with their bank accounts.

imagine a hundred candace contis. imagine a thousand. all telling their story on the same day.

the american colonies didnt have the numbers to match the british military and they fought them back and claimed their independence. strategy. coordination. the home field advantage.

this isnt the watchtower societys world. its ours. they are playing on our field.

imagine a thousand stories being told. the emotion. the suffering. the lies and neglegance bestowed upon you by men claiming to be gods. the coordination and the event alone would spark any degree of interest but with every marketable story they read the interest grows.

its entirely possible and we can make it happen.

    lets.

Yeah, right, another letter writing campaign. And all for what?

    • So with all this preparation, including using mock-ups of Watchtower letterheads - a deception if ever I saw one - you will be giving the organization a massive advance warning of your intentions. Just as JWN has insiders getting early indications of changes in policy, so too we have good reason to suspect JWs in good standing peruse these sites. This will surprise them. Not.

    • As for alerting the media, you are perhaps unaware that the media are constantly inundated with all sorts of groups on all sorts of missions. Those with religious grievances predominate; look at the surge of anti-Scientology movements flooding the market at present. Having acquaintances who work in the both the print and electroninc media, believe me when I say that anti-JW groups are way,way down the list of groups the media are interested in publicizing.

I am on the same page as Aussi Oz and Steve 2, with this one.

It is another paper campaign. It has been tried many times before by ex Jay dubs, some very well known ones. James Penton for one who wrote a number of books. The Botting's who wrote, the Orewellian World of JWs. Richard Rawe, recentlly deceased, one time distributed a booklet with WT illustration on the cover.

The Watchtower themselves way back in late fifties, published a booklet for Catholic Quebec that had the appearance of being a Catholic publication and it didn't work.

No one likes false, camaflouged advertising.

No one likes a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing.
