PLEASE ! BE AWARE !

I am in personal communication with a female poster here at JWD, we had a discussion the other day about a member here that had contacted her and told her that he was a female, but then later said in a post that he was indeed a male. I have to wonder what his motive was for that was.

So please ladies if you are going to meet another member make sure of who you are meeting, ask for phone #'s addresses, pictures or anything that can prove who they are. I believe we have a pervert here at JWD and if he even thinks of trying anything to hurt my very special friend,,,,well he better look out cuz I will be coming like a raging bull in a heavy thunder storm. Just be cautious girls.......

Please contact Simon or any of the Forum Assistants with details. We don't want people to be using the forum for playing these kinds of games with others.

People need to be responsible for their own actions and use the advice that is pretty standard on the internet about giving out personal details and meetings people.

If you have specific information about someone abusing the forum or using the forum for things untoward then you should forward that to me so that it can be investigated.

If it is rumour or this has happened off-forum then it should be kept off-forum.

Personally, I take your warning with a massive pinch of salt:

A couple of weeks ago you made a huge fuss about someone sending you insulting / threatening PMs and yet it seemed they were only sent in response to the ones you sent first.

I don't like people playing games. If there is a genuine complaint then it will be dealt with. If it's trying to rubbish someones repuation just by rumour then that will be dealt with too.

I don't know of any current cases, but a few years ago there was a short-term poster here who did something similar. They suffered from Multiple Personality Disorder.

A general warning is appropriate for anyone, regardless of gender, as the old JW mentality can leave you a little naive. The bottom line being that not everyone is nice, even if they appear to be.

yeah I used to play this online game called PsychoBabble, and in the good old days it was a laugh and made loads of mates. I still chat to them on the odd occasion when im on MSN, but there was one women who was on their who convinced everyone she was dying of cancer etc.. it was all a sham, she had loads of people fooled, turns out it was a man in the end!

Well lets see, last week a memebr here did not like what I had said about G.W.Bush so he pm'd me with a rather rude letter, so I wrote this person back and asked them if they were chicken shit to post it on the thread so everyone could read. I then received a pm from this person telling me their address and if I wanted to come to their house he would beat the crap out of me.

So now I was talking about a member with another member on the phone and I was saying this member was a male and I was corrected by the person on the phone that this member was actually a female and acted like a female in order to gain respect from other posters. Then a thread started and I mentioned that we do not know if these members are male or female and this member pm'd me telling me that he was indeed a he. That is why I was concerned for the person I was talking to on the phone and what this persons motive was for telling a lie like this.

Now I get a post from Simon (above) so I guess for now on I will not be concerned for the safety of others here at JWD. If some people are so heartless towards others safety well I feel sorry for them because that is just another JW action......Heartless

OldFlame, did you make the comment about Mr. Bush under the appropriate subject....like Members Only Political???? or Adult and Heated?

Perhaps, after learning of this she is a he or is he a she??? you should have contacted Simon and adivsed him without taking it upon yourself to warn everyone.....Simon or one of his assistants would have checked it out and probably blocked this person.

And last......please don't accuse us of being uncaring JW's most of us are not JW's and even when we were we cared about others.
