  As I said earlier I will not disclose this persons name until I get her permission. And then when I do disclose their name it will be to the mods or admin. only

  What would be best is if the person who gave this info to oldflame (person X) would PM that info to Simon directly. That way it lets oldflame off the hook for the responsibility of breaking a confidence and the info can be validated directly.

  I understand the need for the warning. It applies anywhere on the net - the need to be cautious.

  I also understand Simon's need to protect the safety and integrity of the board and the posters.

  And sadly the board has gone this root before with sad consequences for many involved.

  Now, can we call a truce until the direct contact with person X has been made?

  Lady Lee,

  Thank you, I was intending to hurt any one here or to make anyone paranoid as I have been accused of. I was merely concerned for all the women here and throughout the internet about predators. I would of said the same thing anywhere else on the net if I felt the need to do so. I feel that the right to privacy is a right and a right that is given in our constitution in our country. Also the last time I had mentioned someones name here on a thread it was deleted so I figured that , that was not allowed, so I upheld it.

  So far for being concerned for the well being of our women here I have been accused of making threats, I have been called names like being juvenile and idiot etc. I have been wronged by some here on this board including the admin. To be pefectly honest ? If I were deleted from this board, at this moment I would not care, because I stand for what is right and wrong and by God when I am wrong I am man enough to stand and say I am sorry and I was wrong.

  Show me where. Perhaps I tire of people what want to make a fuss about things and when investigated are the cause of the problem?

  Oldflame, would you like some cheese with you whine? I for one find you language objectionable and would advise you that your use of profanity negates any good you were trying to do. You are way to defensive and resort to profanity and whining. If it is such a great concern you and the person you are trying to protect should immediately advise Simon...with copies of the PM's, transcripts of conversations and name or names of the participants. Understand there are a number of us on JWD that have been victims of abuse...every type you could possibly think of. So to cop the attitude you have when inquiries are being made as to your accusations/insinuations without providing further proof is boorish.

  If you don't care if you are blocked from this site....then the above referred to accusations/insinuations must not be valid or you'd be more concerned about staying on here and protecting us poor, dumb women who according to you don't know how to protect ourselves.

  Just for the record ...

  This *was* a misunderstanding - having been contacted by the person concerned it is something that happened 3 years ago and was a woman who pretended to be a man (perhaps that says more about the "be a good little woman and shut-up" elder attitude some have occassionally shown).

  Oh, and OldFlame was *not* deleted even though I said what I did in my last post on this topic. He is free to post or not as he wants.
