  In the Service Meeting on Thursday, there was an item in the kingdom ministry about the dangers of the internet. In our Kingdom Hall they discussed the Internet and sexual predators at length and mentioned a recent circuit assembly where the District Overseer went on and on about the internet without mentioning specific sites. The Circuit Assembly and the Service Meeting discussed that apostate sites and others for JWs were used by non-JWs to date non-married JW sisters and also by sexual predators. It also discussed the high Porn content of the Internet and that we should nut use the internet unless absolutely necessary.

  I think that the Watchtower is more afraid of Witnesses finding nice people on the net, rather than mean ones....

  Thanks for the heads up we are wacking them on the web and making inroads on the information superhighway.I am an expert witness on the Jehovah's Witness and i testify to hearing many dire warnings on the internet being the 'tool of satan' as far back as 1990 this is back when nobody was connected and JW's who had a PC in the house the kids used it to play video games.

  The fact they they were warning of 'cloaked apostates' back then shows they knew there was compelling evidence against them and had 'something to hide'.

  BTW Danny Haszard deals with his enemies by having no secrets to exploit why even my personal dental x-rays are on line.

  This is just another useless tactic by the WTBS to keep the dubs off the net (and especially younger ones) by trumpeting the dangers of sexual predators. What a JOKE!!! They hide molesters in their halls with their absurd 2 witness policy on child abuse reporting!! JW kids have more to fear inside the hall then outside!! The real agenda is certainly to keep the dubs away from those pesky "apostates"........

  BTW, where is all this porn that's out there on the internet? Other than ridiculous spam I get in email (mostly filtered out), I have rarely seen any of it. It seems one has to seek out the porn to experience it. In that respect, it would be just like porn on TV or in book stores.

  Perhaps my experience is not typical....

  To the young Witnesses, the WT's internet warnings fall on deaf ears. Judging by the conversations going on at the JW groups on Myspace, they are simply not listening to these warnings.

  DevonMcBride, exactly! The Internet is already the death of this organization. It is a deeply gouged poisoned blade caught between ribs. If the children become aware through the Internet then there is no way the organization can survive another generation.

  The GB is in a catch-22, they tell people not to promote any ideas that conflict with what the Org teaches, and they tell them not to harbor private ideas (impossible for a human to achieve). Everyone knows an idea you can't talk about worries you more than an idea you can talk about.

  If YOU were the Watchtower, wouldn't the Internet scare the hell out of you? In 1.03425 seconds, Google will dump enough info in front of any JW to potentially wake them up. It takes them like 40,000 hours of preaching to make one disciple, and then another 1.03425 seconds to take 'em away.

  Us apostates should help them out with that. We could distribute flyers as they go into the hall that just says: Avoid the dangers of the Internet! Do not go to www.jehovahs-witness.com! Avoid www.freeminds.org like the plague! These sites will poison your minds and your souls. Your eyeballs will fester and puss will run out. The scabs will endure for 40 years as you wander aimlessly in search of somewhere to go besides Jehovah's Witnesses.
