I'd much rather my child was at home on the Internet than in a Kingdom Hall building.

First the Society demonizes higher education. Then along comes the internet, which is the equivalent of putting the New York Public Library on your desktop, and they demonize that. What are they so afraid of? Whatever happened to "seek and you shall find"?

Gumby: These people can find takers for their sexual prefrences without looking into JW or ex-JW sites......can they not? ; Do predators have a special fondness for single JW women?
For some reason, when I read this I immediately pictured some sadistic nutjob stalking JW women on the internet to send them pictures of Smurfs. [MUAHHhahahhahahhahaa!]
Sorry, when that image popped into my head I just HAD to share it.

They might as well say "Don't visit a library unless it is absolutely necessary." --VM44

You have more of a chance of mixing with sexual predators at a KH!They openly accept them!!! Give them their privileges back....
...and there they are at the KH searching out their next victim.

Every warning means a jump in JWD membership
Jgnat, you are exactly right! My first excursions to sites such as this one were out of curiosity, curiosity created by the warnings. My thoughts were that if the WTS was what it says it is then nothing said on the internet could disprove it. There was also the scriptural principle that truth is not afraid of light.

Unless they change they are cooked. I've talked to a few still in and I am more than a little convinced that many are at their threshold. Its just my hunch, but the internet coupled with a general depession among the ranks is making bid inroads. Btw...welcome to all the newbies...they are a manifestation of much bigger problems in JW land.
