I love my job so it would take alot of money to make me give it up.

I like my job too much as well. If I got a lot of money I'd probably go part-time rather than give up all together.

If I'd still been in my previous job, even 'just' £100k would have seen me say good riddance.

Already quit my job, all I need is some money to really enjoy my time left before death gets me.

It would have to be $1,000,000+. If my boss was willing to work with me for extra vacation time (unpaid of course) I would stay at my job. If he did not work with me I would put in my 1 month notice.

I reckon £500000 - 750000 would see me into retirement

The minimum I would need to quit my job would be about $2 million. I could put that in the bank and live off the interest for the rest of my life. That would leave me with just about what I make for a salary, so I wouldn't be rich by any means. I'd say that to call oneself rich, you'd need $5+ million in the bank.

I know how to position about one million

to pull a nice monthly income, and really live.

An honest answer from me would be: $500,000,000.00.

In order for my family business to dissolve, I would first make sure my father's medical bills could be covered and his and mom's lifestyle comfortably kept. I would make sure my brother is set for life. And with my small share, I would invest it with a high school friend who is well respected here in Buffalo (there was mayoral candidacy talk and his picture in the paper) who is a financial advisor and live off the interest, a little better than I live today, but not much. I'm a simple man. For goodness' sakes, this entire year, 10 months, I have "made" about six thousand dollars thanks to my disability. Which reminds me, I gotta call the electric company about my bill otherwise you won't see me online for a while. ;)
