funniest line ever in the simpsons:
Mr Burns upon seeing the Devil, to Smithers:
"Who's that goat-legged fellow, i like the cut of his jib"
Smithers: Its the Prince of Darkness sir, your 2 o'clock!
The whole God/Satan is all grap anyways, what era are we in people, the dark ages still?

Crash course in worldly wisdom for ex-JWs pondering (+/-) Satan and divine power dialectics: Milton's Paradise Lost, Goethe's Faust, Machievelli's The Prince, Thoreau's Civil Disobedience, Melville's Moby Dick. The movie "Devil's Advocate" is a good introduction to Paradise Lost.

Satan is not at all one to be pitied biblically anyway, he is the archenemy of the church, ruthless, implacable, misanthropic and sadistic and destined to be crashed under their feet.
As many times as god gives him time to repent he uses it to cause further harm not fruits of repentance. This failure to repent can't be tolerated for ever. Because then there will be those saying why does god tolerate evil so much. -

So greemdan does that make god a failure? Maybe he cant destroy satan but is too ashamed to admit it.

You know I was told by a muslim friend that Satan is redeemable.
In my own thinking, this could be true (if I believed in God) because if not it would make God look like a jerk. It would say He set the devil up, right?
